Maybelline Pure Mineral BB Cushion Fresh Matte

Maybelline will release its second cushion foundation for the Japanese and Asian markets on 14 January in Japan. The Pure Mineral BB Cushion Fresh Matte SPF25 PA+ will retail at 2400yen for 14g, with just a paltry two shades available (01 Natural Beige and 02 Medium Beige). Maybelline had earlier released the Pure Mineral BB Fresh Cushion SPF25 PA+++ in Oct 2015. Pic by Voce. See swatches here, here and here.

According to Nylon (Singapore), this will also be available in Singapore starting in January 2017 at the price of S$28.90 with two shades available, 02 Light and 03 Natural. It is made with more than 60% hydrating essence. In comparison, the Dream Cushion Foundation just released in the USA (also in Europe, Canada and Australia) comes in 8 shades but rather annoyingly, has no stated SPF. The Dream Cushion Foundation is made in Korea and retails for US$16.

Maquillage Spring 2017

Maquillage is slated to release its Spring 2017 collection on 21 March. It includes:

1. Dramatic Rouge: 3 new shades (3000yen)

2. Watery Rouge: 3 new shades (2300yen)

3. Dramatic Mood Eyes: 2 new palettes (3000yen)

Visee Avancé Multi Stick

Much like the iconic NARS Multiple, Visee Avancé Multi Stick Color (1800yen, 6 shades) is a cream stick that can be used on the cheeks, lips and even the eyes. Pic by Voce.

Drugstore sightings - Rimmel, Maybelline, L'Oreal Spring 2017 Collections

My local Walgreens just got in a whole slew of Spring 2017 collections from various brands.

Cara Delevigne's first ad campaign for Rimmel. I'll miss seeing her as the face of YSL Beauty.

The three new Magnif'Eyes Shadow Palettes look nice but these are made in China so meh.

The Only 1 Matte lipsticks (in the red cases).

Bath & Body Works Semi Annual Sale Haul

Bath & Body Works started their post-Christmas Semi-Annual Sale in stores today. With rumours that BBW is going to do away with their popular coupons in 2017, this seemed like a now-or-never time to haul as one would be a fool to shop at BBW without coupons.

I picked up four candles, which were going for US$10 each, and paid $30 (before tax) as I had a coupon for $10 off $40 purchase. Their White Tea & Ginger reminds me of the distinctive soothing scent of Ion Orchard (a popular mall in Singapore).

The holiday collection of body lotions and shower gels were all going for a remarkable 75% off, so these were only about $3 each.

The rest is a mix of hand soaps, which one can never have too many of with three kids in the house.

My little guy who napped through most of the trip. He's been so bored cooped up at home due to the -10°C temperatures that he always flaps his arms and legs excitedly whenever we step out of the house. His outfit is from Target's fabulous Cat & Jack line, a steal at just US$7 during a recent sale.

THREE Spring 2017

The THREE website has been updated with the Spring 2017 collection, Every Color You Are. Aside from the revamped Shimmering Color Veil Statement loose pigments for eyes, there are also 5 new brushes. Show below from left to right:

Three is now also available in Hong Kong at Sogo in Causeway Bay.

Chanel Le Blanc Collection 2017

Every year, Chanel releases its Le Blanc collection of whitening skincare and colour makeup collection around February in Japan and other Asian countries. The 2017 collection will be launched on 24 February in Japan. It includes this limited edition Prisme Lumiere de Chanel face powder (7500yen) and Le Quatre Ombres palettes in #284 Jarden de Lumiere (left) and #292 (6900yen) inspired by Japanese gardens.

Paul & Joe New Gel Foundation N

Paul & Joe will introduce their new Gel Foundation N (4000yen for refill, 1800yen for case) on 1 March in Japan. This improved version is supposed to have better coverage and enhanced skincare benefits thanks to the inclusion of marine collagen, theanine and snow fungus extract. Pic from Voce.

Anna Sui Spring 2017

I've mentioned previously that I'm not a fan of Anna Sui's new packaging. This upcoming collection also sadly comes off looking more garish than the existing Rose Cheek Color N. Due out on 1 March in Japan, the Face Colors (2500yen) will be available in 5 variations. These are composed of 'main colors' that are meant to be layered over with the 'magical colors' for a glowy finish. The two Palette Mini cases will retail for 1200yen each. Pic by Voce.

The Protective Beauty Balm SPF50+ PA++++ will be released on 1 March. Available in 4 shades, this will retail at 2800yen for 26g and has a semi-matte finish.
