Lunasol Base Makeup Kit

Lunasol is teaming up with the Tokyo-based shoe brand Tsuru by Mariko Oikawa for its upcoming limited edition Base Makeup Kit launching on 1 September in Japan. The kit includes deluxe sample sizes of their Glowing Day Cream, Foaming Cream Wash N, Watery Clear Oil Cleansing, and a choice of any full-size foundation and base.

RMK Essence and Smooth Milk Essence

RMK will launch its first ever pair of limited edition fragrances, Essence (3500yen) on 3 November. Housed in the same square bottle as their nail polishes with a roll-on applicator, it will be available in the bitter orange blend Neroli and the more unisex Woody Green.



RMK will also debut this Smooth Milk Essencew (5800yen, 50ml) on 6 October. It has a soothing milk tea fragrance and transforms into a thicker texture upon application to create a moisturising veil on the skin. Pic by Maquia.

Paul & Joe Holiday 2017

Paul & Joe is rehashing their favourite cat theme for their annual holiday coffret set for release on 1 November in Japan. The kit includes a champagne red lip shade, a powder blush and liquid eye colour. The cat print on the pouch is utterly unappealing so it's another complete pass for me. Pic by Tomoichi.

Aside from its traditional coffret, Lunasol will also be releasing the following limited edition products as part of its Holiday 2017 Candle Night Collection on 7 November in Japan.

Les Merveilleuses by Laduree Holiday 2017

The Les Merveilleuses by Laduree Makeup Coffret IV will be released on 3 November in Japan. It houses a Pressed Powder for face (4g) and a Pressed Cheek Color N (4g). Pic by Tomoichi.

Anna Sui Powder Foundation

Anna Sui will debut its new Powder Foundation M (3000yen for 9g refill, 1200yen for case) on 1 September in Japan. Available in only 4 shades, the foundation can be applied with the puffy side of the sponge for a silky finish or the flocked side for a softer, velvety finish. The foundation is formulated with a 'spring gel powder', rosehip oil, jojoba oil plus extracts of multiflora rose and chamomile to keep the skin hydrated.

Coffret D'Or Winter 2017

Coffret D'Or will launch its Winter 2017 collection on 15 November. It includes a revamped version of their bestselling Smile Up Cheeks. The new Smile Up Cheeks N (2300yen, 4 shades) contains oil-coated pearl and talc powder pigments for easier application and a more natural glowy look. There will also be two limited edition Beauty Aura Eyes (3500yen), a LE W Color Mascara & Liner (2800yen) plus four new and four LE shades of Purely Stay Rouge (2500yen).

Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited

Shu Uemura will launch its revamped Rouge Unlimited line of lipsticks on 22 September in Japan. Comprising 38 shades, the line includes four mixer shades in yellow, pearl, glitter and pearl to create your own customised shade according to the season or one's mood.

THREE Season Collection Kit 2017

Following up on its earlier Sakura collection, THREE is releasing its second Season Collection Kit - Koyo Collection (7800yen). 'Koyo' or 紅葉 refers to autumn foliage in Japanese. It includes limited edition shades of Shimmering Lip Jam and a 4D Plus Eye Palette. The set will be launched on 21 October in the Hokkaido/Tohoku region, 25 October in the Kanto/Tokai region and 4 November in the Kintetsu, Chugoku, Shikoku and Kyushuu regions. Lunasol Holiday 2017

The yearly must-get for a Japanese OL (office lady) is the Lunasol Party Coffret, typically in varying safe shades of brown. This year's is no different. Launching on 10 November in Japan, the Party Coffret 2017 (6500yen) includes a Party Eyes 2017 EX01 Nuance Shiny Brown, Coloring Mascara EX02 Nuance Brown, Creamy Cheeks & Lips eX03 Red Rose and Skin Contrast Face Powder EX03 Fondant Pink (4.5g). Suqqu Holiday 2017

As summer is winding down, that means it's time for previews of the upcoming Holiday 2017 collections. According to Voce, Suqqu will launch its usual two holiday kits on 1 November in Japan. Retailing at 9000yen each, Christmas Makeup Kit PG is the daytime snow-inspired set for creating a more kawaii look while Christmas Makeup Kit WG is the night snow-inspired set for a more chic look. Both sets also include the brand's first ever loose blush powder and what looks like a lip color compact, similar to the one found in Suqqu's Holiday 2014 sets.
