Les Merveilleuses by Laduree First Anniversary

To celebrate its first anniversay, Les Merveilleuses by Laduree will release yet another Face Color Rose Laduree (Mini) (3360yen) on 20 March in Japan. There is a choice of three shades for the blush petals.

Majolica Majorca Little Humming Book II

Here's the second Little Humming Book (1575yen) that Majolica Majorca will be releasing on 21 April to commemorate its 10th anniversary. There will be a total of four Little Humming Books released this year. It contains two powder eyeshadows, a eyeshadow cream base and a lip gloss.

Laduree, Lavshuca and Esprique Summer 2013

Here are the upcoming new eyeshadow releases for summer by a few Japanese brands.

Lavshuca Shiny Eyes: 5 variations, out on 1 May (1680yen)

Les Merveilleuses by Laduree Eye Color Palette in Romance and Serenade (4200yen for refill, 1575yen for case).

Esprique Flower Me Palette (Eye & Lip): Three limited edition palettes in cool, sweet and natural variations, to be released on 16 April. (3675yen). See pics of the store display and testers on Runatan.

Suqqu Summer 2013

Here's a sneak peek at the limited edition Blend Color Eyeshadow quad EX14 Ruridama 瑠璃玉 (7140yen) that Suqqu will be releasing for summer on 17 May in Japan.

On 19 April, Suqqu will release a new Whitening Lotion (8400yen) and Whitening Barrier Emulsion (15750yen).

Kate Summer 2013

Kate will release a new Goldish Eyes palette (1680yen), Slim Gel Liner Pencil in pearly rich gold (1260yen) and Volume Up Rouge (1470yen, 6 shades) for this summer on 1 May in Japan. The Goldish Eyes palettes have been a big hit since their launch in February, racking up sales of 470,000 units in just one month. The new Goldish Eyes quad features cool grayish gold tones inspired by the beach in summertime.

Addiction Summer 2013 Ready To Wear Eye Palettes

It's true - Addiction is releasing a whopping six new eyeshadow quads for this summer! Bad news is that these Ready To Wear Eye Palette Basquiat are limited edition. At 6510yen each, collecting all will certainly not be cheap. Out on 10 May in Japan.

For Summer 2013, Jill Stuart will release a collection comprised entirely of "jelly" products on 26 April in Japan.

1. Jelly Blush (2310yen, 6g) in five limited edition shades. Scented with a crystal bouquet aroma, these moisturising jelly blushes give a translucent, sweet wash of color to the cheeks.

2. Jelly Lip Gloss #31 Weekend Stroll and #32 Andante Cantabile (2310yen)

RMK Summer 2013

RMK will release its summer 2013 collection on 10 May in Japan. It includes:

1. Ingenious W Powder Eyes: Rich pearly eyeshadow duos featuring two different textures. EX01 Gold (LE), 01 Green, 02 Brown, 03 Purple and 04 Grey. (3990yen)

2. Sheer Powder Cheeks: Three limited edition pearlish shades in EX04 Pink Gold, EX05 Orange Gold and EX06 Brown Gold. (4200yen)

Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow Swatches

Kiko is a budget-friendly Italian brand with stores in the UK. Recently, I placed an order on their website for several of their Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadows. These normally retail at £6.90. I was able to get a 20% discount and free shipping for being a new customer. Shipping was very fast. I placed my order on Monday and it arrived at my husband's London address on Thursday, shipped from Milan via UPS with tracking.

Those in the black plastic packaging are from the permanent range while the two in the metal packaging are from the new Colors In The World spring collection. These are all made in Italy.



I was particularly intrigued by #31 Hypnotic Iris, a periwinkle blue with a slight flash of pink.

From the Colors In The World Collection, I also picked the Vivid Eyes Kajal & Eyelinber 03 Festive Indigo/Black (£7.90), which is made in the EU. The Festive Indigo shade is a bit darker and lacks the pink flash of Hypnotic Iris.


These swatches are just one layer each. The Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadows have an impressive creamy consistency that glides over the skin without any tugging. They lay down the color with ease and build up quickly to a wonderfully pigmented finish that is more satin rather than shimmery metallic.

The Kajal & Liner are less pigmented than the Stick Eyeshadows, but still have pretty decent payoff.



#18 Midnight Blue is the only one that has tiny pink micro sparkles.
