Lunasol Summer '09

It seems like 2009 just started not too long ago and already the summer collections are getting ready to launch. As in previous years, Lunasol will be putting out a limited edition summer collection on 8 May in Japan. It continues the Floral Purification theme of its spring collection but this time with a tropical theme centred around Plumeria and Hibiscus.

The collection includes two Layer Bloom Eyes palettes, two Shining Pencil, two Full Glamour Lips S, two Full Glamour Gloss N, two Nail Finish, a Curling Mascara and one Shining Face Color. All the items are limited edition except the Curling Mascara. The two palettes don't look that exciting to me but they may well turn out to be more attractive in real life.

Hi,

The Coffret D'Or spring collection is out in Singapore! I saw it at the Kanebo counter in Bugis Junction BHG department store just yesterday so I think it should have launched at the other Kanebo counters in town too.

I wonder how they will turn out, Layer Bloom Eyes in #03 turned out to be a disappointment ... :/ Did you get it?

Hi M,

Singapore usually gets all the seasonal collections so I'm pretty sure we will get the summer collection, but it will be some time after the release date in Japan. To be on the safe side, you can try reserving it in advance.

Hey Michelle,

I skipped the Layer Bloom Eyes palettes completely, too many pale shades in the palettes for my liking, plus I already have about 10 Lunasol palettes so I try to buy only the ones that are really must-haves.

Hi Haru.

i got the Layer Bloom eyes in 02 White ... pretty good. i love pale/sheer colours and i think this is the strength of the Japanese point makeup. perhaps that's why i can't use the MAC pigments.

i will probably reserve the Summer
White one..

by the way.. GREAT blog! i really enjoyed reading your updates ;-)
