Bourjois recently launched its Flower Perfection collection of base makeup products in Singapore. It includes a Youth Extension Foundation (S$38, 30ml), Loose Powder (S$26.50, 5g), Smoothing Base and a large Powder Brush.
The Youth Extension Foundation SPF15 is a long-lasting liquid foundation with a matte finish. It is supposed to help hide imperfections and provide a smooth finish that lasts for 16 hours. There are only three shades available in Singapore (#52, #53 and #55) whereas there are eight shades available in France, where the foundation is made.
The glass bottle comes with a built-in sponge in the clear plastic cap.
Although the sponge does help to apply the foundation smoothly, it is a tad small and not very sturdy. I accidentally nicked off a small piece with my fingernail while washing it. After that, I switched to using a normal foundation sponge that is easier to use and wash.
I've been using Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation in #51 Light Vanilla (left in the pic below) and so I decided to get the Flower Perfection foundation in #52 Vanilla (right), since that was the lightest shade available here. #52 turned out to be a good match for my skintone.
The main differences between Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation and Flower Perfection are that Healthy Mix Serum has a semi-matte finish and contains several fruit extracts, while Flower Perfection has a matte finish with slightly better coverage and wild azalea flower extract. I find Healthy Mix Serum to be slightly easier to apply and blend whereas Flower Perfection takes a bit more time to blend to a seamless finish, especially in areas with larger pores.
For Flower Perfection, using a slightly damp sponge proved to be the best method to apply this as using fingers tends to result in an over heavy finish. Although one full pump produces too much for one application, the pump is relatively easy to control. Slightly over half a pump is sufficient for one application.
Both contain denatured alcohol (which is listed in the middle of the ingredients lists) but appear to be paraben-free. The list of ingredients for Flower Perfection is above while the list for Healthy Mix Serum is below.
Here are two looks that I did recently with the Flower Perfection foundation and loose powder. Although the Flower Perfection foundation takes a bit more effort and time to blend compared to Healthy Mix Serum or Lunasol Water Gel Foundation, I do like the smooth finish and coverage that it provides. It also wears well over the course of the day without oxidising or pooling in my pores. I still need to blot every two to three hours, which is normal for me. Do also check out Simone Loves Makeup for her video review of this foundation.
The loose powder is translucent and very finely milled. It gives the skin a slightly dreamy soft-focus finish. Like the foundation, it contains wild azalea flower extract and SPF 15. However, there was a glaring lack of an ingredients list on the pot. The powder is so fine and light that it can get quite messy as it tends to fly all over the place.
The Flower Perfection collection is already available at Watsons and Robinsons, which often offer 20% discounts on Bourjois products.

I do like this foundation on you,
in my opinion it's the 2nd best foundation that makes you flawless (based on your pictures. 1st is maquillage stick foundation.
Hope to read an updated review of this bourjois foundation
Why oh why do the distributors always bring so few shades?
I loved the other Bourjois foundation, the gel version of healthy mix. It was so nice, but the darkest color at bhg was 53, too light for my skin.
The singapore distributors seem to think there are only ang moh or chinese here, and no Indians or Malays.
I like the foundation too, you can find a review on my blog:

Now I really want the primer and the powder, too.
