New Beauty Brands Coming to Singapore

Sephora is gearing up to introduce another two exciting brands to Singapore: Philosophy and the eco-friendly Josie Maran. See a preview of Josie Maran's cover shoot for Elle Singapore on her blog and a pic tweeted by Her World. Philosophy launches 27 April. Aside from their famous skincare products like Purity Made Simple, their popular shower gels will also be available. The shower gels reportedly will retail at S$29 (versus US$16 on www.philosophy.com) with only a part of the range available.

The magnetic nail polishes by Nails Inc are also now available at Watsons Vanity Box in select stores, according to Her World.

Josie Maran's really beautiful! Still remember her in all the Maybelline commercials when I was much younger. Hopefully the pricing for her line won't be too much more than the US prices!

It's about time. Can't wait for when they bring Nars and Tarte over, though. It's taking too long a wait.

Nars is still not here! I wonder why this long wait when HK, Taiwan and Bangkok already carry the brand for years.

Hi,
For beauty shopping in Singapore, I recommend checking out these three major department stores in Orchard Road which between them have virtually all the prestige brands:

Tangs: MAC, Guerlain, Burberry, Ipsa, Stila, By Terry, Clinique, Estee Lauder, SKII, Cle de Peau, La Mer, Clarins, Kiehls, Benefit, Lancome, Shu Uemura, Dior, Shiseido, Chanel, Lancome.

Isetan Scotts: RMK, Paul & Joe, Anna Sui, Kose, Esprique, Cosme Decorte, Givenchy, Shu Uemura, MAC, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, SKII, FANCL, Shiseido, Clinique, Estee Lauder, Dior, Lancome.

Takashimaya: Kanebo, Lunasol, Laneige, Anna Sui, Paul & Joe, Dior, Chanel, Estee Lauder, Cle de Peau, Elizabeth Arden, Clinique, Covermark, Kose, Cosme Decorte, Esprique, Lancome, Shu Uemura, Clarins.

Wisma Atria, a mall in Orchard Road, is also good to check out as it has stand-alone stores by Korean brands like Etude House and the Face Shop, Lush, Sasa (which is good for Asian brands and niche ones like Pupa and TheBalm). The Watsons store at Ngee Ann City (where Takashimaya is) is also excellent with many Asian brands like Majolica Majorca, Kate, Canmake, Clio, Heroine Make, Dolly Wink, My Beauty Diary, Za etc.
