Maquillage Dramatic Powdery UV Foundation

Maquillage will launch its first new powder foundation since its image renewal last Nov on 21 February in Japan. Available in 7 shades, Dramatic Powdery UV Foundation SPF25 PA++ (9.2g) is a lightweight foundation that provides good coverage of pores, discolorations and prevents skin dryness and sebum.

Powder foundations are traditionally made by mixing oil and powder ingredients before pressing the mixture into the case. Dramatic Powdery UV Foundation utilises an innovative "mousse press" technology to create an ultra fluffy, lightweight "air mood powder" that contains an abundance of beauty essence ingredients (including hyaluronic acid and glycerin) and air. The beauty essence and powder are first mixed into a mousse that is then slowly dried and pressed into a powder foundation that glides onto the skin with a better fit.

The foundation can be used with either a dry or wet sponge. It contains a 'sebum auto-block powder S' and 'sebum sensor absorbing powder' to keep skin feeling fresh. The case design follows the same gold-tiled theme as their Dramatic Rouge and Dramatic Mood Veil. The campaign will be fronted by Hasegawa Jun. The foundation will be available in Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Vietnam and Malaysia.

There are only two reviews on Cosme.net to date, with one commenting that the foundation feels extremely soft to touch and has excellent lasting power. The foundation refill will retail at 3000yen, the case at 1000yen and the sponge at 500yen.
