Biteki has a similar feature in their Feb 2015 issue but their application technique was so bland that virtually all the models looked like they were only wearing mascara and eyeliner.

I totally agree! Was looking at the Biteki yesterday, and I couldn't see anything. Thought I was blind or something -_-
