Just received a mailer from Guerlain which is running a series of weekend specials in July.

10-12 July: Summer Fling set @ S$143 (U.P. S$205) comprising Perfect White UV Protector, KissKiss Lip Gloss and Meteorites Pearl Powder No. 3
17-19 July: Light & Easy set @ S$181 (U.P. S$259) comprising Prarure Pearly White Compact Foundation, Super Aqua Light Cream and Aqua Allegoria Kiwi EDT 75ml
24-26 July: Pro Essential set @ S$261 (U.P. S$381) comprising Meteorites Travel Compact Powder, Super Aqua Serum and KissKiss Stick Gloss.

The Guerlain counters are at Tangs Orchard and Takashimaya. For the month of July, there is also a 3-piece GWP with every purchase of Terracotta Mineral Loose Powder.
While I got the Guerlain Prarure Pearly White Compact Foundation at a steal, I discovered that actually the Prarure Pearly White Brightening Fluid Foundation gives a much more superior finish. It spreads very easily for a seamless, velvety natural finish, provides good coverage and lasts well throughout the day. It's definitely one of the best liquid foundations I've ever tried. If I had to pick one, I would definitely recommend the Fluid Foundation over the Compact Foundation. As for powder foundations in general, my all time favourite is still Lancome's Maquicake UV Infinite, which is also Lancome's top-selling powder foundation in Singapore. Currently, the Lancome counter at Tangs is giving away a free Maquicake refill with every purchase of the Maquicake UV Infinite Powder Foundation (including the case). If I didn't have the case already, I would definitely stock up.
Check out this Japanese blog for the promo visual of the Lunasol Stardrop Purification collection as well as pics of the Jill Stuart 5th anniversary collection and RMK fall collection!
Found another Japanese blog with snapshots of the Lunasol Stardrop collection pamphlet here and here.
Here's another pic from Biena.net of The Body Shop's fall '09 color makeup collection due out on 12 August in Japan. The model in the promo visual looks like Penelope Cruz.

The LeSportsac mooks were such a bit hit that the series has been re-printed. New stocks of all three designs are now available at Kinokuniya (Ngee Ann City). I saw at least 7 copies of the Beauty Girl print on the shelves this evening so if you missed out on this the first time round, now's your chance!

Cozycot organised an exclusive preview of Lancome's Declaring Indigo collection for some members at Stamford House last evening. I was one of those lucky enough to score an invitation. The Declaring Indigo collection will only be launched in Singapore in September so this was really an advance preview.

The event featured a detailed makeup demonstration by Lancome Makeup Artist Lena, who impressed with her cheerful enthusiasm, great product knowledge and skills. The model was an 18-year-old lady (didn't catch her name) who had the most beautiful baby-like skin. Lena made all the products seem super easy to use and the model looked completely transformed by the end of the makeover. A couple of other staff from Lancome also took turns to host the event, taking Polaroids of the guests, conducting quizzes and giving away prizes to the winners. I noticed that the Lancome staff were all impeccably groomed with gorgeous skin, makes them very impressive ambassadors for the brand!

Loved the gorgeous roses (Lancome's signature icon) on the makeup counters set up around the room.

We also got a sneak peek at Genefique, which is Lancome's latest innovation in its anti-aging arsenal. This serum contains groundbreaking technology to spur the production of 'youth proteins' in your skin. I smoothed a drop of this on the back of my hand and was wowed by how incredibly soft my skin felt after a few seconds. There was no sticky residue or mattifying effect. Instead, my skin just felt incredibly plumped up and smooth, like baby skin! It also did not feel like artificially smooth like you get with products that are pumped full of silicones.

Photo montage of the shooting of the ad campaign starring supermodel Daria Werbowy.

The two palettes,Palette Liberté 01 Bleu Royauté and 02 Or Liberté, come in a sleek silver case with Lancome's rose print. I was intrigued by the unusual combination of blues and golds. The black and blue eyeshadows that were infused with gold flecks were particularly memorable.

Another highlight of the collection is La Rose Liberte face highlighter. This has an overspray of gold shimmer but the powder underneath it is actually more semi-matte so no worries of looking like a disco ball. I think Lena brushed more than 3 coats of this on the model yet it never looked cakey or frosty.

The doorgift was a bag of products worth $80 including samples of Hypnose mascara and perfume, Genefique, Maquicake UV Infinite powder foundation, and a gorgeous hard cover pink notebook produced for the Pink Irreverence collection from Spring '09.

I also won another pack of samples and a full sized Juicy Tubes lipgloss for answering two questions :-)

And this is me with Lena (dressed in all black) and the model, at the end of the event!

Doesn't the model look very glowy and polished here?

Many thanks to Cozycot and Lancome for the wonderful opportunity!
A reader requested for a close-up shot of the I Nuovi Dixie purse that I received so here it is :-) This is part of the GWP for purchases of S$88, which also includes a Lip Moist (treatment balm) and mini Purify skin cleansing gel.

For those of you interested in checking out I Nuovi, here's the mailer on their promotions for the Great Singapore Sale taking place now until 26 July. I Nuovi currently has five stand alone stores in Singapore: Far East Plaza, Vivocity, Suntec City, Jurong Point and Junction 8. Happy shopping!
