MAC Color Craft had an advance launch at Tangs last Friday and the MSFs (S$46) and Mineralize Eyeshadows (S$33) promptly sold out. The other counters were supposed to launch the collection today but the shipment was delayed and only the store at Vivocity got their shipment. None of the Mineralize Blushes are in stock at any of the counters yet (except DFS).
I picked up the eyeshadows in Girlish Romp and Eccentricity last week and have been testing them out. Both turned out to be excellent, especially Eccentricity. I especially adore the purples in Eccentricity while the combination of shades in Girlish Romp is very pretty and perfect for spring. The trick with getting these to show up well is by using a sponge tip applicator to really pack on the color, and also to use a good eyeshadow base.
I found that my Testimo Eye Bright Up Base #1 White Gold really brought out the metallic sheen of these shadows whereas the I Nuovi Eyeshadow Perfecting Base gave it a softer more muted finish. Or you can use a brush for a more sheer application. The method of application really depends how intense you want the colors to be. Overall, I think it was a great idea to squeeze four colors into one pot instead of just having one or two shade that takes forever to use up. With a sponge applicator (I use the dual-ended one from my Jill Stuart palettes), it's also very easy to keep the colors 'clean' as you get less loose bits flying all about.
Even though I already have a drawerful of Mineralize Skin Finishes that I hardly reach for, I still got suckered into picking up Smooth Merge and Triple Fusion as these were selling so fast, I was afraid I would regret it if I passed them up while I had the chance. I haven't tested these out yet as I'm still admiring how lovely they look in their brand new state. It's probably just a strange quirk of mine but I find it reassuring and comforting just holding a MSF in my palm because of how it fits ever so snugly.

I got the leaflet for this collection when I visited MAC last week. I am beginning to look into baked eyeshadows and blushes now. The 2 eyeshadow palettes are so pretty.
