Visee Spring '09

I picked up a copy of the winter'09 edition of Kose Precious Beauty magazine today and found pics of the upcoming Visee Spring '09 collection inside.

The star product of the collection is the new Blackish Forming Palette (1680yen) series. The 5 palettes each contain a dramatic black liner shade that has been formulated with three types of black pigment to produce a true black shade. The emphasis is on creating a glam smokey look, quite unusual for a spring collection but certainly a welcome departure from the pastel gradations typical of other Japanese brands.

The look on the left is created by applying all the shades in the palette intensely while the look on the right is created by applying only the black liner shade intensely and the other three shades more sheerly.

Tutorail on how to apply the eyeshadows in the palette. The highlight shade is first applied all over the lid, followed by the upper right grey shade from the upper lashline to the crease, and then the lower right grey shade along the outer half of the lower lashline, then finishoff with the black liner shade along the upper lashline and the outer half of the lower lashline.

Close-ups of the finished look.

I feel that the visee eyeshadows are drifting further and further away from shimmer??? I love the japanese shimmery eye makeup so much!

The look is more fall/winter to me than spring.... color-wise they arent very attractive either....

Thanks for the information!

Hi Nutty,

Visee is still not available in Singapore but you can order it easily from Adambeauty or ichibankao.

Hey tammy,
I think the new palettes from Visee are still supposed to be shimmery but just that the liner shades are more pigmented. You're right that they look quite out of place for spring but the smokey look on the model is gorgeous!

These palettes look great. I saw the pink version in Voce, but it didn't look as interesting as the grey one. When will they be released?

This does look very interesting, looks like a must try!
