Sleek i-Divine Primer Palette

Sleek recently launched a new i-Divine Primer Palette of 12 cream eyeshadow primers designed to be used with their eyeshadows. I picked up four of these palettes while in London, three of which were for friends.

Retailing at £6.99 (about S$14.50), the palette is good in theory as the coloured primers (1.1g/0.03oz each) can help to enhance the intensity or alter the tint of the powder eyeshadows layered over them. The diverse range of shades also allows for endless creative combinations. (The shade names on the clear plastic sheet appear to have been mixed up as Silver Lining is orange, Ultra Violet is blue while Noir is beige.)

The cream texture feels similar to MAC Paint Pots and applies smoothly without feeling too greasy. These do not have the flat matte drydown of Urban Decay Primer Potion. Most of the shades look like they have some glimmer to them.

I tried out two of the shades in the Primer Palette today with mixed results. I used the purple shade over the eye socket area and the white shade over the browbone area. Using a Pixi eyeshadow palette, I layered a smoky purple eyeshadow along the upper lashline, light blue and medium blue shades in the crease and a shimmery off-white shade over the browbone area.

The Sleek primer shades did help to enhance the intensity of the Pixi eyeshadows, which tended to apply sheer on their own. However, within a few minutes, there was already a faint crease at the inner corners. After I finished applying mascara, I had to touch up the powder eyeshadows. The eyeshadows did last well through 12 hours of wear without significant fading, but at the end of the day, there was a crease line across the inner one-third of my upper lid.

The other products that I used for this look are Esprique Precious Ruffle Flare Mascara BK001 and Gradation Layer Cheeks #2 Pink Rose, UNE Skin-Matt Foundation M03, Shu Uemura Face Powder Sheer Colourless, Too Faced Liquid Lava Gloss Super Black Eye Liner, K-Palette Real Lasting Eyebrow 02, MAC Hot House Lipglass and Lancome Teint Miracle Natural Light Creator Bare Skin Perfecting Corrector Pen #1.

Below is the ingredients list for the Sleek Primer Palette, which is made in China.

I didn't read your post completely at first and thought this much be a great buy (you look great with this kind of smokey eyes, I remeber you did another one like this with a sleek palette).
