Dior Diorsnow UV Shield BB Creme

One thing I like about being a Dior member is that not only do they often organise workshops for members to preview their new collections, they also frequently provide members with samples of their new products.

Earlier this week, I picked up this Dior Addict lipstick sample along with samples of the new UV Shield BB Creme and D-NA Control White Reveal Essence.

The UV Shield BB Creme is one of the most expensive BB creams on the market at S$79, but this is Dior after all! It boasts SPF50 PA+++ and is "enriched with new-generation correcting pigments" with a formula that "diminishes dark spots and all skin irregularities while boosting the radiance of he complexion. The skin is immediately and perfectly evened out and protected, revealing incredible transparency." It is made in France, but "specially developed and tested on Asian skin".

The texture feels similar to Skin79's BB creams like Super Plus and VIP Gold. It is very easy to apply and blend with a creamy consistency. It performs well at evening out my skintone but doesn't completely conceal blemishes and skin discolorations. I think the shade will suit NC25-NC30. The shade looks alright in the photos but in real life, I would have liked it more if it was a little bit lighter. It didn't look ashy or unnatural, just not that radiant.

Nevertheless, I liked the coverage that it provided and how it helped to reduce the appearance of my pores. It also lasted well through the day with blotting required about every 1.5-2 hours. The photo above was taken at 8am while the photo below was taken 10.5 hours later at 6.30pm.

Below is the ingredients list.

The other products that I used today were: Shu Uemura Face Powder Sheer Colorless, Topshop Gloss in Gloom, Pixi Lustrous Eye Primer No. 1, Paul & Joe Color Powder CS 71 and 66, Stila Make Me Blush, Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner, Lancome Teint Miracle Natural Light Creator Bare Skin Perfecting Corrector Pen, Esprique Precious Ruffle Flare Mascara and K-Palette Real Lasting Eyebrow 02.

You can read more about the new Diorsnow skincare and makeup collection on Herworld.com. Here's the new Dior Addict clip starring the ever stylish Kate Moss.

i agree that this BB cream lasts, i only blotted once throughout the whole day under the sun, heat and then rain while at the Univeral Studio; yet i looked fine and flawless. i got the sample free after getting the Dior Rock Coat and a lipgloss :)

Hi Iris,
i've spotted the Stila Make Me Blush in your fotd's product list as well as the earlier physician formula's happy booster. Can you please, please, please do a comparison between the two? Thank you so much. :-)

hi,
Sure, I'll try to do a review of them soon. In the meantime, I recommend these blogs that have already reviewed the two:

Hi Haru

Yes, I agree the Dior BB cream looks a tad dark, a pity, they should develop lighter tone for fair skin Asian. But seeing their BB include oxybenzone, it's a miss. oxybenzone i read is a bad sunscreen ingredient.

how much do you spend to get entitled to become Dior member? the sampling scheme for member is surely attractive! :)

hi Faye,
I haven't checked out the lipstick shades, Dior's lipsticks are a bit too expensive for me!

hi Ling,
I don't know what is the amount one needs to spend to become a member, you can try asking at the counter?
