London in the Summer

On this trip, I was immensely relieved to leave the oppressive heat and odorous concrete jungle of New York for the cooler climate and lush scenery of the UK.

It still rains frequently but when the sun comes out, London is a delightful sight to behold with colourful blooms everywhere.

hi Haru,
nice outdoor, lushy scenery :) i read before u travel to London to visit your brother, not sure if you are in London for family visit or work?

can i know which airline u travel with and how much is the air ticket to NYC and london? i am hoping for the best rate since it's never cheap to travel that far across our globe.

nevertheless, stay happy and fun with your loved one! just by looking at your travel photo make me as excited as your bountiful saks samples , i saw laura mercier, nars and so many delicious goodies! :)

So envious that you get to go so many countries on business trips!

hi Ling,
For this trip, I'm flying British Airways as I wanted to stop over in London after New York. Otherwise, I usually fly ANA when I go to New York. Price-wise, you should shop around online as well as check with a few travel agencies to get the best price.

Thanks Haru, i didn't think of british airways which i should be, thanks god. i fly to NYC via SQ about $1800 but that's on business trip and i was subsided so i thought it's good to hunt for cheaper airline. i flew by continental before and i must say i am speechless! :(

Hi Lin,
On previous trips, I usually stay at my friends' apartments. Hotels in NYC are very expensive and the quality is not very good. My brother stayed at the Marriott in Times Square and quite liked it. Or if you are on a tight budget, there are a few YMCAs in NYC.
