Magazines Haul with Paul & Joe, Skin79, MUFE Gifts

I popped by Kinokuniya earlier this evening to pick up the September issue of Baila and ended up getting a couple of Chinese magazines for the freebies.

Baila, which comes with a set of Paul & Joe freebies, arrived today just in time for the last day of Kinokuniya's 20% storewide discount. There were still plenty of copies left at the Ngee Ann City store when I was there in the evening.

The bag is made of polyester satin and features one of the prints used on the Collection Sparkles in the Manhattan collection. The quality is pretty decent for a magazine freebie as it isn't too flimsy.

The inner seams are also covered.

The size (19.5x27x12cm) is typical of a lunch tote with a fairly wide base. It can fit a couple of bottles of Paul & Joe's skincare products easily.

Also included are samples of the new Creamy Powder Foundation SPF18 PA++ in shade #102 (1g) and the Moisturizing Foundation Primer N in 01 and 03 (0.3ml each).

The foundation sample includes a tiny pink sponge.

"Tokyo Makeup Story" feature on the Color Palettes from the Manhattan collection.

I also picked up the August issue of Bella (S$12.33) as it came with a Make Up For Ever Lab Shine lipgloss.

There are three shades available but unfortunately, there is no external label to indicate the actual shade inside.

I lucked out and got M10, which is described as a "chrome morello cherry" on Sephora.com. The sample size is 1.5g, which is about half of the full size (0.09oz). The Lab Shine lipglosses retail at S$35 at Sephora stores in Singapore so it's a pretty good deal, considering that I paid only S$9.85 for the magazine after the 20% discount.

In addition, there were five packets of Fonsi Instant Eye Wrinkle Removal Mask, each containing 10ml of moisturising fluid. These were manufactured in Oct 2008 and the expiry date is 1 Oct 2011.

And finally, I also picked up the Jul issue of Girl, a Taiwanese magazine, as it came with a sample tube of Skin79 White Beblesh Balm. I'm curious to try it as it is not carried at Watsons stores in Singapore. Plus, I'm always a sucker for such samples!

The Ngee Ann City store still has quite a few copies of both Girl and Bella, in case anyone is interested.
