Osaka/Kyoto Trip Photos Part 2

The Daimaru store in Shinsaibashi in Osaka is spread over a couple of buildings with several stores-in-store. At a lifestyle accessories shop called Afternoon Tea, I found these Liberty print collection of stationery! But since I already have a Blythe 2011 schedule book, I didn't really need any of these.

I stumbled across this Cath Kidston store entirely by chance. It was not staffed so I could snap photos away merrily. The prices are quite jacked up compared to the UK, so it's not surprising that the Cath Kidston stores in the UK are often full of Japanese tourists.

Gelato Pique

Later in the day, I was in Kyoto JR station. I could smell the aroma of this Lush store at least 20 metres before I found it!

K-Palette's 1 Day Tattoo Real Lasting Eyeliner packaged with a set of false eyelashes. The eyeliner has sold more than 6.5 million units.

More clothes shops.

Im going to japan at the end of the year. Was wondering how the japan prices of Lush compare to UK. or are they relatively the samely priced.

cant wait to see all the cool things!

Hi,
The Lush prices in Japan are much higher compared to the UK, particularly so as the yen is very strong and the pound is very weak at the moment. For example, Snow Cake costs 650yen (S$10) in Japan versus 2.60 pounds (S$5.30) in UK. If you are buying just a few items, the difference may not be that much but if you are buying many items, then the difference would be quite significant.

Ooh, I used to love going to Shinsaibashi to shop! I'd brave the hour-long train ride from Kyoto to nearby Yodoyabashi practically every week when I was in my late teens. :p

For some reason I found it really interesting to see the photographs you took of these familiar places, haha.

hi Ivy,
I'm not sure how the L'Occitane prices in UK compare to Singapore. Lush is definitely worthwhile hauling as it's so cheap there!
As for your UK itinerary, sure you can email me at izuc77 [at] hotmail. But I have to say first that I'm not that familiar with the sights in the UK.
I haven't had the time to get around to posting my haul, think I bought too much!
