Laura Ashley 2011 Spring & Summer Mook

To commemorate its 25th anniversary in Japan, Laura Ashley recently released its first ever brand mook, which is now available at Kinokuniya stores in Singapore. The 78-page mook retails at S$31.50 and comes with a cotton tote bag (33x47x17cm) and a small zip pouch (17x19x2.5cm).

The bag is about the same size as the Paul & Joe 15th Anniversary mook bag. The Laura Ashley bag is very soft whereas the Paul & Joe mook bag is stiffer with a more structured shape. The bag features the popular Louise Lilac print from the archive collection while the pouch is in the Viola Lilac print.

The bag has an inner polyester lining in the Viola Lilac print. It has an awful smell though, so I'd be giving this a good wash before using it.

The tote bag can be folded up and tucked inside the zip pouch.

Laura Ashley was born in Wales in 1925 and moved to London at the age of 7. In 1953, she started to make her own printed fabrics, spurred by the desire to make her own patchwork quilts. She designed the prints while her husband, Bernard, built the printing equipment.

Gorgeous new dresses for spring/summer.

The Laura Ashley London clothing line was introduced exclusively in Japan in 2010. It is designed by Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto (of Eley Kishimoto), who are also known for their use of prints.

In Singapore, the Laura Ashley store is located at Great World City. The brand can also be found at Isetan Scotts.

Do they sell beds at both the outlets?

The Great World City store sells products for the home but I don't know if they sell beds. The Isetan store sells mainly clothes.
