Parco held a fashion showcase event today to unveil the new collections by over 20 up and coming local designers in its next NEXT section. Next NEXT is a fashion incubator initiative by the Textile & Fashion Federation (Singapore) and SPRING Singapore to help aspiring young designers turn their innovative ideas into successful businesses through an 18-month training and mentorship programme that also includes a business and retail component.
I found the new line-up of brands to be more interesting and diverse compared to the last time that I visited next NEXT for the Fashion Exchange event by Elle magazine.
My favourite brand was ffayth which specialises in natural linen and cotton dresses treated with colours, embroideries, freehand stitching, silkscreen prints in clean silhouettes. Their Spring/Summer 2011 collection is inspired by the amusement park, hence the whimsical carousel horse print.
All the prints and embroideries are hand created by designer Fayth Lu.
Another fast favourite was the cheerful creations at Yumumu by Lu Yilin. Several of the outfits incorporate Japanese influences.
Arty Lily by Hesper Ng takes its inspiration from children's contemporary art to create playful yet feminine designs.
Designed by Jada Seet & Lin Tan, Naked Room's spring collection theme is Peek A Boo with strategic placements of sheer panels and lines.
Love these lace pants!
Naked Room was giving away these rings as gifts with purchase.
Pauline.Ning
Kenji (by Kenji Ng) gives the simple T-shirt a twist through the use of lace and tulle.
L'Ile Aux Ashby by Rayson Tan
OwnMuse by Johanna Lau & Oon Shu Juang
WanderWonder by Lenz Fan and Kenny Ong
Accessories by Veira, designed by Tan Wey Ling.
Shito shoe boutique by Alice Soedirman and Cheryl Mok.
Had a great time with Kas and Amy :-)
I'm wearing the Za True White Plus Two-Way Foundation again today. It photographs very nicely without any whitish cast!
Do check out Parco next NEXT and help support our local designers!

hi,
Parco Marina Bay is located at Millenia Walk, which is next to the Promenade MRT station on the Circle line. You can find Next Next on the second floor of Parco.
