Kate will release a Brown Collection on 1 November in Japan. Kate has had great success this year with the Diamond Cut Eyes palettes (which sold 1.1 million units in just 5 months) and Reflect Mirror Eyes palettes (which sold 600,000 units in just 3 weeks when they were released in August).
The Brown collection is built around the beige/brown shades that are favoured by most ladies and is likely to be a big hit with the Japanese "office lady" (aka "OL") crowd. The four palettes (1680yen) each include three eyeshadows and two eyebrow powders. This is the first time Kate is including eyebrow powders in its palettes, which will make them even more convenient but for me, it's difficult to get excited about such bland neutrals. The collection also includes Nudist Designing Lip (4 shades, 1050yen) which are formulated with jojoba oil, almond oil and olive oil.

i wish if it's all eyeshadow, rather than a mix of eyebrow n eyeshadow.
i dun think the eyebrow powder will be able to suit all skintones >_<
Hi Plue,
I totally agree! I've never found those eyebrow powders by Japanese brands to be that useful as well, still prefer my trusty old MAC Cork eyeshadow for filling in my brows. I guess you want an all eyeshadow palette, Kate does offer plenty of pretty options, like the Glam Trick Eyes and Diamond Cut Eyes series.
Those are pretty neat, but Kate isn't attracting me as much anymore.
I hope they would release some bolder colours for Spring, brown i just too blah!
unless the texture is excellent and the price is reasonable, i dun see any reason why i shud be buying it :P
The palette design looks pretty and on first look, was quite excited as I like neutrals and browns until you mentioned the eyebrow powder. I have the Kate eyebrow palette and I hardly use it. Guess I'll give this a pass after all.
I understand your lack of enthusiasm, but the taupes and browns look rather pretty from the promotional picture. I don't need eyebrow powder in my palette, but I guess it's better than not having it. If they turn out to be pigmented and blend-able, the novelty of the eyebrow powder will give me an excuse to pick one of them up :)
hi, do u know where is kate available in sg?
Hi,
You can find Kate at the Kanebo counter in BHG in Bugis Junction.
I would like to try the lipcolours! It's been a while since Kate had any decent ones. I'm a little skeptical about the eyeshadow palettes tho... I felt that Reflect mirror wasn't as good as it was hyped up to be compared to Diamond cut. Now with them going sheer beige and browns... hmm...
hi do you see reflect mirror eye collection in sgp? tk
I hope all these will arrive in Singapore.
thanks for posting this. ^__^ love your blog very much. You update very fast. I will jump for this for sure. Japanese drugstore makeup is always amazing!!!! ^__^
