Along with Adieu, Mozzarella (US$25) was the most recent addition to the Tokidoki Cromatico Palettes.
In case you're not familiar with the Tokidoki pantheon of characters, Mozzarella is the leader of the so-called "Moofia", a gang assembled to extort milk from the lunchboxes of schoolyard bullies. Mozzarella is loving and kind to good kids, but ruthless and feared by those who harass the innocent. Hence, the shotgun!
See the bundle of cash dressed up as a bandit? :-)
I don't usually go for brown combinations but the Mozzarella character was just too adorable to resist. Also, the inclusion of the light blue shade in the palette makes it more interesting.
Fortunately, unlike Adieu and Diamante, none of the shades in Mozzarella have chunky glitter. The texture is very smooth with good colour payoff.
Most of the shades have a soft metallic glimmer. I found Skull Donut to be overly frosty though so it's best to apply it with a light hand.
I used Skull Donut over the browbone area, Latte in the crease and Mozzarella from the lashline to the crease and Riposino along the lower lashline.
The eyeshadows lasted very well over more than 12 hours of wear with Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin as the base. On my lashes, I used Visee Wide Long (Curl Impact) mascara over Shiseido Nourishing Mascara Base. The Nourishing Mascara Base is excellent for helping to maintain the curl of my lashes throughout the day but it does require a bit more effort to remove thoroughly than if I were to use only mascara alone.
For this look, I also used Guerlain Prarure Pearly White Foundation Fluid Foundation 01 topped with Jill Stuart Loose Powder 01 Natural and Guerlain Meteorites Perles D'Or, the Sakura Convertible Color from the Stila Trendsetting in Tokyo palette, Topshop Gloss in Gloom, K-Palette Real Lasting Eyebrow 01, Heroine Make Smooth Liquid Liner and Dior Skinflash 002.
The Topshop Gloss in Gloom, from the Heavy Duty fall collection, looks like a dark grape in the tube but actually applies quite sheer and gives the lips a lovely glossy tint.
