RMK Eyeshadow & Blush Revamp

RMK's newly revamped line of 42 eyeshadows and 26 blushes are now available at the Isetan Scotts counter. The collection is designed to offer a variety of textures and improved finishes that are convenient and super easy for customers to use even if they are amateurs at makeup.

But be prepared for some sticker shock as the eyeshadows are S$56 while the blushes are S$63 (about the same as what a Chanel blush costs). The high price points will not be an easy sell in this economy, as you can get two MAC eyeshadows for the price of one RMK eyeshadow. Still, RMK must be doing something right as their total revenue rose 9% from 16.1 billion yen (S$240.7 million) in 2007 to 17.5 billion yen in 2008, according to an article in last Friday's issue of Urban in the Straits Times.

Some other interesting facts from the article:
*RMK sells 1000 units of its makeup base (S$53) every day in Japan.

*The new collection took about 8 months to develop.

*Each Asian-friendly shade and texture was perfected only after at least five tries.

Time to make a pit stop at the RMK counter at Selfridges! That, and for D&G!

Thanks for the pics!

yea i was shocked at their new price too. To be frank, I won't be considering getting their blushes unless there's some real enticing factor. I love their colour corrector though :)
