Spotted the L'Oreal Open Eyes Chrome Intensity display featuring Lost star Evangeline Lilly at the Watsons in Vivocity earlier this afternoon. The butterfly-inspired collection is one of the most vibrant and colourful ones that I've seen from L'Oreal. The palettes retail for S$19.90 each, which is very affordable compared to a MAC single eyeshadow (S$26).
The display was completely out of the Aquadisiac palette, which is probably the most eye-catching palette. Not sure if it has sold out or yet to arrive in stock.
The eyeshadow texture felt on the dry side. It is certainly not the rich molten velvety quality that you get with MAC's Veluxe Pearl eyeshadows but nevertheless, I liked how the shades in the Aquadisiac palette swatched as the shimmery finish is pretty. The deeper shades also have better colour payoff. The teal shade is similar to MAC Surreal while the metallic navy is similar to MAC Deep Truth. If used over a good primer, I think these would look just as good as those from higher end brands.
The forest green in the Timeless Green quad reminded me of MAC Humid while the brown shade is similar to MAC Woodwinked.
The display also featured the True Match Blushes (S$18.90)
The shades are swatched from left to right: #1 Pink Marshmallow, #2 Rosy Cheeks, #4 Rosewood, #102 True Rose and #103 Sandalwood Veil. #2 Rosy Cheeks is the most pigmented of the lot and has a metallic finish. I found the colour payoff of most of these to be quite lacking but some ladies may prefer very sheer, natural-looking blushes.
If anyone has tried the Open Eyes Chrome Intensity palettes, I would love to hear your thoughts!

All the three eye palattes look good! Best part is they are so affordable.
uh the Aquadisiac palette is really eye catching.
Gotta check our local L'Oreal counter and hope Switzerland get's it >_<
The Aquadisiac palette looks a lot like the Sapphire Siren Maybelline Eyestudio one available here! I've been getting into more drugstore products lately, but I don't think these will be available here, which is a shame, they look cute!
All the 3 palettes are so pretty. wonder if they will have it in Malaysia.
i think they shld be out in June in SG :) yeah and they look really intense and easy to apply for the price of $19.90!
Is it made in China??
I realised that the L'Oreal products in SG are mainly made in China while the once in the UK are made in Italy!!!
Not sure whether the products' quality is affected though
