Backstage with Shu Uemura and Redken at L'Oreal Academie

Yesterday, I got to visit the L'Oreal Academie together with Mag, Kas, Sara, Sophia and Chantana to watch the Shu Uemura and Redken teams prepare the models for the Shapes and Shadows show at Audi Fashion Festival.

As each model had a different makeup look to go with their intricate hairstyles, it took quite a lot of time to get each model ready. The atmosphere was one of intense concentration all around.

The Shu Uemura makeup artists were all wearing the brand's dramatic false eyelashes as they would be appearing on the runway with the models later in the evening.

The MAs' arsenal of palettes, brushes, powders etc.

According to the Shu Uemura staff, the revamped line of eyeshadows and blushes will be launched in Singapore in July. The prices have yet to be determined.

The Redken team hard at work teasing the models' hair into giant bouffants and other quirky shapes.

We were also shown these limited edition tribal-inspired lash designs that Shu Uemura will be adding to their famous Tokyo Lash Bar in June.

Thereafter, the Shu folks kindly offered to let us try on their lashes too. Mag helped Kas to put on this pair of ultra bling diamante-lined lashes.

Sara (above) tried on a more natural looking pair while Chantana (below) tried a lovely pair of green and black lashes.

Many thanks to Shu Uemura and Redken for hosting us!

hi,
The Benefit Erase Paste #1 Fair that I have is beige-toned, not pink or peachy. It has quite good coverage but doesn't last the whole day on my under eye area.

hi jojoba,
Yes, it was a wonderful experience!
