Shu Uemura Color Atelier Eyeshadow Swatches

The new Shu Uemura Pressed Eye Shadows come in five textures: Matte (vivid colors with a velvety even finish), Pearl (silky shimmer of light for a luminous radiance), Iridescent (glimmering reflections of changing colors), Metallic (metallic glow) and Glitters (abundant sparkles for glistening glamour). Personally, I liked the ME shades the best as they have a rich, smooth and velvety texture. The mattes felt dry and swatched slightly chalkily. The glitter shades have an eye-catching brilliance and would work best with a good primer underneath.

The swatches below were done on bare skin without any primer underneath.

A veritable rainbow!

I don't think that I would ever wear it but the ME33 yellow is awesome.

Love the red eyeshadow. Don't think I could make it work, but what a great colour!

BEAUTIFUL!!! I love the ME shadows as well! Do they have new palettes for the eyeshadow or are they still using the silver ones?

Hi Connie,
Yup, there are new cases in black and white that come in 3 sizes: mono, duo and quad (I.e. Fits 4 eyeshadow singles. The silver cases were discontinued quite some time ago, i think. The eyeshadows and blushes are now sold in refill form and no glue is needed to hold them in the cases.

Thank you! I am so glad this brand is still alive and kicking. I love Shu Uemura and I was heartbroken when product was pulled out of Sephora and then the boutique closed on Newbury Street. Beautiful! I am glad they've done away with glue on the pans, too.

Wow how did you get your hands on so many colors!! Do you sell them at a cheaper price?

Please do a blogpost on how to mix and match them - I've like 10 eyeshadow colors and they are all so different its so hard to match!

hi Qing,
I was invited by Shu Uemura to their office to preview the new Color Atelier collection of eyeshadows and blushes. That's where I did the swatches. I don't own all the eyeshadows!
