Elizabeth Arden Haul @ Changi Airport

Hopped across the pond for a short work trip to Malaysia earlier today. At Changi Airport dutyfree, I wasn't planning on buying anything initially but couldn't resist getting the Elizabeth Arden Face Powder Brush with Folding Mini Face Brush as the set was going for only S$29 (usual price: S$41) with any purchase at Nuance-Watsons. Several beauty bloggers had raved about how soft the synthetic Face Powder Brush is, and indeed it felt really dreamy and softer than even the Body Shop's synthetic kabuki brushes.

I also got the Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant (S$10) and Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant Stick Sheer Tint SPF15 in 02 Blush (S$28.90). Also got the Pure Finish Mineral Powder Foundation (S$45; usual price is S$58) for Mag of Makeupstash.com. You can read her review of the foundation here.

If you are interested in Arden's Prevage skincare line, Changi Airport dutyfree has very attractive discounts on the line. The 50ml version of the new Advanced Anti-aging Serum costs only S$221, compared to S$331 at the department stores in town. There was also a travel-exclusive set comprising the Serum (30ml) and Day Ultra-Protection Anti-aging Moisturiser SPF30 (30ml) for S$177.

hello, concidentally I was at the airport today too and saw the brush set promo. Didn't know there was another mini brush inside until you mentioned!

May I ask if we must use it with mineral type powders? Can be used for applying the usual powder blusher, regular loose powders e.g.? Because it seems a bit "plasticish", not sure if it will have the same performance of a regular hair-type brush.

hi,
You can use the brush for applying loose powder too. But I think it is too big and dense for applying blush.

Thanks for the heads-up! I always keep intending to pick up the ceramide lipstick trio and completely forget. Now I have other stuff to look at too!
btw, the packaging on the items you bought looks like their anniversary edition packaging instead of the usual one.

Hi Haru

thanks for informing us on the great buy on Elizabeth mineral powder foundation :) it happened i also need to travel to malaysia next next week (but on budget terminal as firefly only fly to ipoh...)..may i know what other makeup is worth buying in nuance watson? any special set or collection where nuance watson is best buy on? thanks so much, dear!

hi Pinky,
Nuance Watsons has tons of travel exclusive palettes and kits for brands like Lancome, Dior, Arden though none really caught my eye. If you like YSL, it is also available at Nuance Watsons. The new Chanel Rouge Allures are S$37.50, I think. The discounts are especially good for Arden and Jurlique skincare.

hi Gypsy,
the Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant Stick turned out to be less emollient than I expected. I still prefer Fresh Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment which does a better job of keeping my lips hydrated. The packaging for the Eight Hour Cream in the metal pot is the 100th anniversary version.

Hi,
I bought my arden stuff at the dutyfree shop in T2 but it should also be available in T1. The MAC store is in T2.

I've been wanting to try the mineral powder for the longest time too! Waiting for the next metro sales to get it. Pls review it after use?

hi,
The Mineral Powder foundation is actually for a friend. I won't be purchasing it for awhile as I have too many foundations to use up. But you can read several beauty bloggers' reviews of it.
