Tokidoki Mints

At Play Imaginative, I was surprised to discover that they also stocked the Tokidoki sugar free mints! These are also sold on Sephora.com for US$5 a tin. At Play Imaginative, they retail for S$10.95 (though I get a 10% discount with my member's card). The sugar-free mints contain sorbitol, calcium stearate, peppermint oil, menthol, sucralose (SPLENDA) and confectioners' glaze.

There are two can designs: Moofia and SANDy. According to Sephora.com, SANDy and her friends wear cactus suits "because the world is a cold and scary place, and they need some armor to face it. The cactus is the conserver of water, and water means life. The Cactus Friends are the representation of life—fragile and strong at the same time...and pure like water."

The Moofia, led by Mozzarella, was assembled to "extort milk from the lunchboxes of schoolyard bullies. Mozzarella is loving and kind to good kids but ruthless toward those who harass the innocent. By taking the milk from the bad and giving it to the good, the Moofia know the good will grow up strong and healthy to protect themselves. Milk is power. Milk is protection. The Moofia includes Bulleto, Choco, Soya and Strawberry Latte."

The can opens up to reveal a mirror which very handy for checking your teeth and lips post-meal! The small hole also helps to ensure that the mints are dispensed one or two at a time rather than falling all out at once. I also liked the fact that the cartoon design wraps all around the tin, instead of just being printed on the top lid.

The mints are tiny so some people may want to pop a few at a time for a stronger refreshing effect.
