This is for Pinkdolphi1 who had requested an EOTD with Lunasol's Skin Modelling Eyes EX02 Beige Cool palette. This was another limited edition palette from Summer 2007 which sold out in Tokyo quite quickly. The blues in this palette are quite easy to wear, not too garish but still bright enough to add a fresh pop of color.
First, I lined my upper lid with the medium blue shade using the thin end of the sponge applicator, and then blended the metallic light blue shade on top of that along the crease. Then I used the brush to apply the white highlighter shade over the browbone area to the inner corners and then finished with an accent of the beige shade in the outer half of the crease area.
I like the Skin Modelling Eyes series as all the eyeshadows in the quads have a smooth texture that is easy to apply and doesn't crumble easily into a powdery mess like some other brands when the texture is too soft. The colors show up well on skin, true to how they appear in the pan and do not oxidise or darken even after several hours of wear.
The mascara I used today was Tarte's Lights, Camera, Lashes! mascara again.
Finally, I'd like to thank everyone who has left comments on my EOTD posts over the past week. I know the looks are far from perfect and there's always room for improvement. I can curl my lashes more, use a more high coverage concealer to cover up my dark circles, use an eye cream more religiously etc. You may also wonder at the paucity of lashes along my lower eyelids but that's just the way I was born!
But actually, I'm more than fine with my imperfections! I make do with what I have, and the looks that I do are what I've found works for me. They may not work for every one but I'm just sharing them here on my blog for what they're worth and hopefully, some ladies will find them useful. :-)

Yeah! Thanks for the EOTD! Very nice! I like skin modelling eyes and sheer contrast eyes! I shall try to use it again ;p
Great EOTD Iris! This is one of my fave Lunasol palettes! Thanks to you that I managed to get my hands on this one.
Oh no, I totally wasn't trying to be rude. So sorry if it came across that way! I like seeing your EOTDs to see the pretty palettes in action. Please don't stop posting your EOTDs =)
Thanks for letting me know about the Paul and Joe lippies! I'll definitely check Spring 09 out.. but Feb/March is so long from now...
Hey Adeline,
Don't worry, I didn't take offense! Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to post comments. I always welcome hearing from my readers :-)
My immediate thought was '好美啊!' Such lovely blending. :) I bought this from Taka - it didn't seem so hot here - it was available for quite a while.
PS: I used Blue Green Coral today!!
u did an awesome job wearing the blue!!
Beautiful look.
The blues are amazing on you.
The colors went on with a nice vibrancy.
This blue is very flattering on you!
I noticed you said "paucity of lashes" so I thought I'd tell you about this lash growth stuff I used. I used the stuff called Enormous Lash and I swear, my lashes doubled in length and volume! But yeah, maybe it'll work for you too. =]
Hi Iris,
Awesome EOTD!=) The shades are so well-defined. I love blue and green eyeshadows, but I always have this problem applying them on my lids... always ended up in dark eye rings effect...
I wanted to tell you I like your technique of using the beige to accent to outer crease. I have no crease of course, so I'd use it in the outer socket indent. Nice! ;)
