Catrice Big City Life

Just in time for the holidays, Catrice has released a Big City Life collection comprising three palettes and three nailpolishes.

Each palette contains 6 powder eyeshadows, 2 powder blushes, a dual-ended sponge applicator and a black mini kajal pencil. Made in Czech, these were priced very affordably at CHF9.99 (about S$13) in Switzerland.

The texture of the eyeshadows and blushes felt smooth to touch, with good colour payoff. It's not as velvety as say, Urban Decay, but it's pretty good for the price point. There was a good range of neutrals in each palette.

The cardboard palettes with the flip lid reminded me of Too Faced's palettes. The shades have names chosen in line with the city theme.

Hi Agnes,
But you have lots more tempting brands available in Japan! I hope Catrice gets distributed more widely in the future as Essence is already making inroads in Southeast Asia.

Speaking of Essence...I haven't seen any in Japan. I did find Essie though but the price...hmm.
What brands are you into here?

hi Agnes,
I don't think Essence is available in Japan. It's sold now in Malaysia and Singapore. About Essie, my experience is that pretty much all imported brands are expensive in Japan, compared to other countries. The Japanese brands I love are Addiction, Suqqu, Paul & Joe, Anna Sui, Ettusais, Visee, Jill Stuart, Majolica Majorca, Esprique, Canmake and Three.

Is this also in regular drugstores avaible?

hi Nana,
You can search for Catrice locations on their website. Here in Switzerland, Catrice is in supermarkets and department stores, not drugstores.
