MAC launched the All Ages, All Races, All Sexes and MAC in Lillyland collections today! I spotted both collections at Isetan Orchard, Tangs Orchard and the counter in Sephora Ion.
The All Ages, All Races, All Sexes collection features a good selection of nudes and browns. This is the collection that caused an uproar among many MAC collectors because it introduced the pigments in the new smaller packaging but at the same price as the previous version. I thought this was a terribly unsavvy move on MAC's part, as they irritated many hardcore fans unnecessarily. Many ladies buy MAC because it is much more affordable compared to other department store brands but no one likes to feel ripped off. I'm not a pigment collector so it doesn't affect me at all.
MAC in Lillyland has the more eye-catching display with a boho fun vibe. The outstanding products for me were the dazzling Lipgelees (S$28) which are even more chock-full of shimmer than the Dazzleglasses with much better color payoff.
Please excuse the blurry nature of the photos below which were snapped on the go with my handphone. You can see how disco-ball shimmery the Lipgelees are. The smaller row of swatches at the side are of the Lipglasses from the All Ages, All Race, All Sexes collection.
The Pearlmatte Shadow (S$35) looked cute but swatched quite sheer. You can see the pink and light green shades in the top left corner of the pic below. The Cremeblend Blushes (S$35) are more pigmented with a smooth creamy consistency that is easy to apply and blend.
The pic below shows Coconut Ice (left) and Steamy (right) nailpolishes applied with only one coat. Coconut Ice is limited edition while Steamy is permanent.
Shu Uemura also launched its Egerie collection today.
The Makeup Blogette has been raving about the limited edition Black Leather false eyelashes (S$49). Do check out her haul of these gorgeous babies!
The Eye Shimmer Duos are very pricey at S$75 a set, each comprising a cream eyeshadow and a tube of loose pigment powder. The cream eyeshadows apply quite sheer and have a metallic glimmer that is not as intense as say, Jill Stuart Eye Jellies. The loose pigment powders are much more sparkly and look incredibly pretty twinkling under the bright counter lights. The pic below shows Glint Blue in the top row and Starry Violet in the bottom row. I applied the cream shadow in a horizontal stripe first, and then layered the loose pigmented powder over the left half of the stripe.
Shiny Mint is much more difficult to photograph as the cream eyeshadow applies as a very pale green-toned yellow and the pigment powder is a dreamy pinkish white.
The Tangs Orchard counter is holding a skincare and makeup hands-on workshop on 6-7 February with a S$100 sign-up fee that is fully redeemable. Just call 6233-0207 to book a slot.

i'm gg to the US, and hope to get Lillyland there :)
babe, i had just got myself the eye shadow duo in KL, i paid for RM 128/set. With the conversion, i think it's much cheaper in KL.
Now hesitating on the Blush stick! Not sure whether should get it or not!
