Lunasol, Addiction and IPSA Spring 2013 New Base Makeup
15 February will bring a bumper crop of new base makeup products from Lunasol, Addiction and Ipsa. Lunasol's Spring/Summer 2013 base makeup collection includes:
1. Skin Modelling Powder Foundation SPF20 PA++ (5775yen): This provides a soft focus lighting effect to give skin an inner glow, conceals pores and skin unevenness while being resistant against sweat and sebum.
2. Smoothing Makeup Base N SPF22 PA++ (3675yen): Cream primer designed to be used with Skin Modelling Powder Foundation. This helps to conceal pores, control oil and improve the lasting power of foundation.

3. Control Essence UVa SPF34 PA+++ (3675yen, 40ml): Sunscreen that can be used as foundation primer with a translucent finish. Helps to conceal pores.

Addiction will launch a new Tinted Skin Protector SPF50 PA+++ (4725yen, 30ml) in five shades: Tint No. 1 Ivory, No. 2 Warm Beige, No. 3 Medium Beige, No. 4 Light Beige and No. 5 Dark Beige. It acts as sunscreen, primer and foundation in one, with natural coverage. My guess is that this will replace the Tinted Moisturizer.
Ipsa will release Pure Protect Liquid Foundation EX SPF25 PA+++ (4200yen, 25ml) in six shades. This helps to conceal skin imperfections while providing a highly translucent, natural finish.

Ipsa's spring makeup collection will be released on 1 January in Japan. It includes Eye Color Pencil WP (2100yen, 4 shades), Lip Coat Gloss (2940yen, 6 shades), and Eye Color Contrast (2310yen, 3 variations).

Operation Use It Up!
Finally finished another batch of products!

1. Liese Clear Cube Wax 05: I didn't like this one much as the texture was a tad heavy even after diluting with water.
2. Kenzoki Clearwater Gel: Very refreshing toner that hydrates my skin effectively.
3. Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter: Love the sweet fruity scent and light non-greasy texture which absorbs very easily. I'll definitely re-purchase a full size after I get through my current stash of body lotions.
4. Testimo Eye Bright Up Base: This has been my daily staple for about five years now but as Testimo has been discontinued, I'll be switching to Urban Decay Primer Potion which has better lasting power but is a tad dry.
5. Ipsa Metabolizer Moist 2: This is the newly revamped Metabolizer that was just launched this fall. It does a pretty good job of hydrating my skin without any stickiness. It's a toner and moisturiser in one.
6. Kenzoki Blissful Beneficial Water: I love almost all of Kenzoki's body treatment sprays for their ultra relaxing scents. The scent lingers for quite awhile without being overpowering. This has since been revamped with a glass bottle packaging as Blissful Ginger Fizz.
7. Dior Miss Cherie L'eau: This is a green alternative to Miss Cherie which may be too sweet for some ladies. It has notes of bitter orange, gardenia and white musk. It is quite refreshing but a bit too green for my taste.
8. Jurlique Jasmine Shower Gel: I am addicted to the lovely jasmine scent of this shower gel! It is a bit watery but lathers up amazingly well without any need for a bath lily and leaves my bathroom smelling simply divine. It's horribly expensive at S$42 for a 200ml bottle so I would repurchase this only when there is a promotion going on. The ingredients list is below.

Biteki and Maquia October 2010
Yesterday, I also picked up the new October issues of Biteki and Maquia which are mainly focused on the base makeup trends for fall/winter 2010.

Biteki (S$15.20) comes with a mini heart-shapde compact mirror, Sonia Rykiel Perfect Finishing Powder SPF20 PA++ sample and two sachets of Treatment Makeup Base 01 SPF18 PA++ (0.3ml each).

Maquia (S$16.10) includes a 15ml bottle of Ipsa Metabolizer Moist 2 (enough for 6 uses) and six pieces of Cotton N. This is from the revamped Metabolizer range that will be released on 10 September in Japan. The Metabolizer Moist 2 will retail at 5775yen for 175ml.

Ipsa Metabolizer Revamp
Ipsa will launch its new Metabolizer range on 10 September in Japan. This is the 7th generation of the Metabolizer, which is Ipsa's best-known skincare product. It is meant to be a toner and moisturiser in one.

The Metabolizer comes in 12 types spread over 3 ranges: ME Moist (5775yen), ME Moist White (6825yen) and ME Superior (7875yen). For the new range, it is recommended that you use three pumps for each application instead of the usual two. Ipsa has increased the size of the bottles to 175ml, from the current 125ml, but kept the prices largely the same. One bottle is supposed to last about 6 weeks.
Ipsa is also using a model for the first time in its ad visual. The model is actually an Ipsa counter staff. They were probably trying to appeal to the average woman but surely they could have picked a more flattering picture in which she doesn't look so dour!

Ipsa Fall 2010
Here are some pics from Urcosme.com of Ipsa's Fall 2010 makeup collection.

There are 6 face quads for highlighting and contouring the face. This reminds me of the Maquillace Face Creator 3D (both Ipsa and Maquillage are part of the Shiseido family) except that the Ipsa face quads look very heavily weighted towards beige shades.

The collection also introduces 18 face colour singles.

Tangs Sale Beauty Offers
Here are the beauty promotions for the Tangs sale taking place next Wednesday 19 May and Thursday 20 May. 19 May is a closed door event for Tangs cardmembers, who can bring along three friends each. The Guerlain eyeshadow singles are going at 2 for S$50, which makes them even cheaper than MAC eyeshadow singles! I don't know which shades will be available though.

You can check out the full sale brouchure here.

Tangs Bazaar Sale
The Tangs Bazaar Sale is currently taking place at Suntec Convention Hall (Level 4) until 3 February. The only makeup brands on sale are Guerlain, Ipsa and RMK. For RMK, there are the discontinued version of the Creamy Makeup Base in 00 and 01 (S$30), plus several of the eyeshadow duos (S$25) from the Spring Translucence collection that was released in January 2009.

Guerlain had the limited edition eyeshadow quad (S$39) and three lipglosses from the Spring '09 collection, some eyeshadow singles plus several shades of the Prarure powder foundation refills (S$44).

Ipsa had the Cream Essence Foundation #101 and #201 (S$25), Metaboliser EX04 and the Time Reset Cream CS2 (S$30). I was tempted to get the Ipsa foundation and Time Reset Cream but eventually decided against doing so as the manufacturing date was January 2008.

Luxasia has a booth there selling many brands of perfume such as J.Lo, Sarah Jessica Parker, Nina Ricci, Britney Spears, Calvin Klein, Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs etc. Marc Jacobs Splashes in Lemon and Cucumber were S$60 each.

The Britney Spears perfumes were mostly at S$45 each for the 100ml versions.

The Vera Wang Truly Pink set is S$130. Didn't see any of the other Vera Wang fragrances like Princess.
