Starbucks Sakura Collection 2015

Starbucks will launch its annual sakura (cherry blossom) collection in two batches this February. The first part debuting on 15 February features designs of freshly bloomed sakuras in a yellow and pink design. It includes the Sakura sleeve tumbler 250ml (1600yen), Sakura white mug 430ml (1600yen), Sakura Handy Stainless Tumbler 480ml (4200yen), Sakura Handy Stainless Tumbler 360ml (3630yen), Sakura pink mug 360ml (1500yen) and Sakura card in Sakura Breeze.

The second part, to be released on 27 February, showcases sakuras in full bloom with a more vibrant color scheme. It includes the Sakura Tumbler 240ml (1430yen) and 350ml (1530yen), Sakura Sunny Bottle 500ml (2100yen), Sakura Handy Stainless Bottle 500ml (4200yen), Sakura Handy Stainless Bottle 350ml (3630yen) and Starbucks card in Sakura Brilliant. In previous years, the Sakura collection of tumblers and mugs have been available in Singapore as well but these are usually released without any publicity so if you want these, start stalking the stores soon as there's no telling when they will quietly turn up. These are guaranteed to always sell out in the blink of an eye.

The new seasonal drinks are Caramel Sakura Chocolate Latte and Caramel Sakura Chocolate Frappucino.

Boots Christmas Gifts

One of the best places for doing some early shopping for Christmas presents is Boots which has an amazing range of gifts. At their store on Oxford Street in London, there was an entire floor devoted to Christmas gifts, featuring a mind-boggling array of brands. All were eligible for the "3 for 2" promotion.

Soap & Glory had makeup, skincare and bodycare sets.

No.7, which is exclusive to Boots, also had a wide range of makeup, brush and skincare sets. Even after the recent revamp, I still feel that the quality of the brand is very hit-and-miss. None of the makeup and brush sets looked that fantastic, to be honest.

17 also didn't look that tempting.

At first glance, I thought that these shower gels were by Philosophy. Upon closer examination, I realised that it was just a very cleverly designed knock-off.

Ted Baker is one of my favourite UK clothing brands but their makeup and bodycare line for Boots doesn't have much going for it aside from pretty packaging.

Even Starbucks and Nando's have gotten in on the act.

I did splurge on the Hello Kitty x Liberty collection, which like last year's range, contained makeup, bodycare and accessories. That retro alarm clock was right on top of my list.

Fearne

L'Oreal & Dove

Even Twilight and Glee sets are available.

Have you started on your Christmas shopping?

Starbucks Sakura Collection 2012

Starbucks will roll out its eleventh annual sakura (cherry blossom) collection of tumblers and mugs on 29 February in Japan. I do not know if any of these will be available in Singapore or elsewhere, but they usually appear in Starbucks stores in Singapore around the same time as Japan. You can see the previous collections from 2011 and 2010 (also here and here).

Thanks to Monika of BeautyOshaberi for pointing me to the Wafutsushin for the information!

Starbucks Sakura Collection

Starbucks has just released the new sakura (cherry blossom) collection of tumblers in Singapore!

Thanks to a few kind readers who alerted me to this, I made a quick stop at the Holland Village store this morning to check out the collection. This year, we got the same designs as Japan but minus the short blue tumblers and the mugs.

I picked up the water tumbler (S$19.90; 20 fl.oz/591ml) and the pink plastic tumbler (S$15.90; 12fl. oz/355ml). The pink metal tumbler was around S$32. With the purchase of each tumbler, you get a free drink coupon. Also, you can get 50 cents off your beverage if you bring the tumbler with you to the store.

I wasn't too impressed with this year's collection when I first saw it online but it turned out to be much prettier in real life. The plastic tumbler has a gorgeous tapestry of pink, lavender, green and blue tones. Small details like the reflective gold lines and the subtle sakura motif in the background give it added dimensionality.

I also love the gradational effect around the bottom of the water tumbler, which is BPA-free.

You can see the 2010 tumblers in this post and here. Last year's collection sold out very quickly so don't wait too long if you're interested in this collection!
