The She Space has released one final colour collection, Fortune Cookie Wisdom, of 30 gorgeous pigments. The She Space is not closing down. Instead, About Face Cosmetics will be replaced by Hope Quest, which will be much smaller and more focused. The pigments cost just US$3 each and look ever so pretty. I'm so very tempted to place an order but am trying to be good, not to mention there's tons of other stuff that I am lemming at the moment (O.P.I's Shrek Forever After collection just jumped to the top of my list).

The She Space Discontinued
In case you haven't heard, Heather, the owner of The She Space has decided to discontinue TSS Cosmetics to pursue her other life goals. It may sound strange but TSS basically got too big for her liking. She will still continue selling pigments in the form of Hope Quest Cosmetics but there will no longer be a truckload of limited edition collections and large permanent line.

When I first read her email to the TSS mailing list (you can read it on the TSS forums too), it was with a bad sense of deja vu because Heather did this before when she closed down Twisted Fayte only to make a comeback later with TSS. It was nice to watch TSS grow over the past couple of years as mineral makeup became popular with the masses, so it's sad that there won't be any more of those delightful limited edition collections to look forward to in my mailbox.
All full size pigments have been marked down to $2.50, from the usual price of $4.50 so if you've been considering placing an order, don't wait too long. You can view my previous TSS haul posts here.

The She Space Haul
My haul from The She Space landed in my post box yesterday! This was the order I placed to take advantage of the free 20-sample pack promo. I placed the order on 2 June and received it on 29 June.

This is the Hope Quest Quad (US$15) which Heather created after the suicide of one of her longtime clients. With each quad, you get two Hope No Matter What Full full size pigments to give away to a friend, along with a small card with a message of hope. I think it is a wonderful initiative as speaking from experience, a small gesture can mean a lot to someone who is going through a dark period. Sometimes a little human contact is all that's needed to brighten up someone's day and let them know that someone is thinking of them or cares for them. You can read more about Hope Quest here.

I was eagerly anticipating trying out Cashmere Kisses in Smooch Me (5g, US$6) which is an all over face powder with just a hint of sparkle for a glowy luminous effect. I tried it out today and loved the velvety, dreamy finish. My skin still got oily and required blotting after a couple of hours though. The pot is super tiny so I doubt it will last more than a couple of weeks with daily use. This is also available in 10g (US$10) or 20g (US$18) sizes.

The limited edition Kiss of This and That collection from May.

The Gemini collection. TSS has also just launched the silver/pearl-themed Cancer collection.

And my free sample pack, including the brand new Cashmere Sun!

The She Space One Little Dress Part I
One Little Dress was the limited edition collection released by The She Space for April and inspired by Rodarte's fall'09 fashion collection. It's a massive collection of 30 shades so I'd be posting the pics in 2 batches. I'm not sure how much longer the collection will be available on TSS as it was supposed to be taken down around end-May but it's already June now. Speaking of which, this year seems to have flown by even faster than last year and the fall makeup collections will start appearing in stores in just another month or so.
Anyway, enjoy the pics!

The She Space Aries
The Aries collection from The She Space was particularly tricky to photograph, in particular the bright reds. Red can be a tricky shade to wear depending on your skintone but the collection actually has a number of very wearable plums and rosy pinks. I also recommend checking out The She Space's pics and detailed descriptions of the individual shades here.
