Kenzo Haul

Robinsons is having a cardmember's preview sale from 22-24 December. With a $200 purchase from a participating brand in a single receipt, the first 200 cardmembers per day will receive a $20 beauty voucher that is instantly redeemable (i.e. it is used on the spot for your purchase. Robinsons also sent me a $5 beauty voucher which I used on my haul from Kenzo.

I got the Eau de Fleur EDT in Plum (S$87) and two bottles of the Cashmere for Body Skin (S$68), which is a powdery moisturising lotion made with essential oils and a relaxing white lotus fragrance.

I also received an 8-piece GWP plus a FlowerbyKenzo Essentielle 4ml fragrance miniature. The GWP I received is slightly different from the one advertised in the flyer. I got the Nightwatcher 5ml, Melts on Contact Face Gel 5ml, Cream with a Zing 2ml, Face Phenomenon serum 2ml, Energizing Beneficial Water 1.5ml, pouch, shower cleansing mitt and a travel kit.

The Bright Face Supplies take and fly kit includes a spatula, two mini jars, a cotton headband, two sponges and a sheet of stickers for labelling the jars. Pretty nifty!

The February issue of More (S$19) with a Paul & Joe tote bag arrived at Kinokuniya today.

The print is from the upcoming Spring 2010 makeup collection. The tote is made of polyester with two pockets on the front and zip pocket on the inside. The handles are a bit too thin and flimsy.

Voce Feb 2010

Voce's website has an extensive sneak peek into their February issue which will be published on Monday 21 December (should arrive at Kinokuniya in Singapore later this week). Japanese pop star Namie Amuro is the cover model, looking fresh-faced without her usual heavy eye make up. I actually like this look on her as she looks very youthful.

This issue also comes with the spring collections catalogue featuring a whopping 58 brands.

Jill Stuart Cosmetic Pouch

Jill Stuart will release a large cosmetic pouch (4725yen) on 5 February in Japan. The print features Jill Stuart's bestselling products and measuring W21×H13×D7cm. This is roomy enough to fit the hand mirror, compacts and long-handle brushes.

Suqqu Matsukasoukou Musculate Massage Cream

Suqqu will release a limited edition jasmine tea-scented version of its Musculate Massage Cream (10,500yen, 200g) on 2 January in Japan. This is used as a 3-minute massage cream after cleansing the face, to relieve tension, improve blood circulation and tone the jawline.

Maquillage tutorial

If you are a Maquillage fan, here's a useful clip from a Japanese TV programme showing how to apply the Maquillage Eyes Creator and Face Creator palettes to create the so-called 'golden balance'. The makeup application starts from around the 2:25 mark of the clip.

Lunasol Spring 2010

FANet has great pics of the forthcoming Lunasol Spring 2010 collection! The new Nature Color Eyes palettes look like they are very shimmery!

Jill Stuart Angel Rocker

Bea's Up featured the Jill Stuart Spring 2010 "Angel Rocker" collection in their January issue. The collection will be released on 22 January in Japan. There are four Jewel Crystal Eyes (5250yen) palettes, all of which are permanent. Each shade in the palette has different levels of shimmer/sparkle for a jewel-like shine.


Two new Mix Compact Blushes #11 and #12 are also being introduced. #11 looks like a pale pink mix while #12 is a orange/coral/pink mix. Both are permanent.

The collection also includes 5 new nailpolishes, of which #39 and #40 are limited edition, and two limited edition Jelly Lip Glosses #17 (vivid pink) and #18 (coral pink with silver pearl). A new Lip Lustre #27 (sugar pink) is also being added.

Jewel Crystal Eyes #3 is a feminine mix of pinks, which is practically Jill Stuart's signature color.

The pic below shows the light pink shade from Jewel Crystal Eyes #2 applied on the model.
