Jill Stuart 10th Anniversary Mook

Jill Stuart 10th Anniversary Book (1450yen) has just been released in Japan on 24 January. The 56-page book comes with a round vanity case measuring 13.5cm tall and 16.5cm wide. The book looks back on the 10 years of the brand and provides makeup application techniques for their latest Spring 2015 collection. It's been a long time since this brand excited me, and sadly their spring collection seemed like another retreat into the same mind-numbingly boring wash of neutrals and browns that has afflicted other mainstream Japanese brands. Here's hoping that they have more innovative tricks up their sleeve for their 10th anniversary.

The March 2015 issue of Nonno comes with a Jill Stuart pen case and tissue case set. This is available now at Kinokuniya Singapore.

LeSportSac 40th Anniversary Mooks

To commemorate its 40th anniversary, LeSportSac will release 3 mooks in Japan on 27 February featuring its 2014 Spring/Summer collection. These are available now on Amazon Japan for pre-order. Amazon Japan ships internationally. Their shipping fees are hefty but if you order several magazines, the cost per magazine works out to be quite reasonable. My previous order was shipped by DHL and arrived within just a few days.

Style 1 (1575yen) comes with a shopping basket-style bag with stripes and polka dots, with a matching pass case.


Style 2 (1470yen) comes with a poppy print vanity case with five pockets, plus a matching mirror.


Style 3 (1386yen) comes with a stationery case featuring the Big Apple print. It includes a B6 notepad.

LeSportsac Happy Anniversary Special Edition Mook

To celebrate its 25th anniversary in Japan, LeSportSac will release four special edition mooks. Edition 1 came with a lunch cooler while Edition 2 came with a picnic cooler. Edition 3 (1800yen) will come with a lunch box set in the Cat Dance print while Edition 4 (1470yen) will come with a leisure sheet in the Jamboree print. Editions 3 and 4 are scheduled to be released on 25 May while 1 and 2 were published on 23 April.

Hi again, thanks for all the kind comments left on my previous post. It's been a really good break for me and I think I'll still post about new collections coming up, if the mood strikes. Jill Stuart will release this Bon Mariage Perfumed Soap Sachet (5250yen, 60gx3) and Pillow & Room Fragrance (8400yen, 100mlx2) on 7 June in Japan. The Perfumed Soap bears a neroli scent. The Pillow & Room Fragrance duo comprises a fresh citrus Brilliant Voyage scent (in the clear bottle) and a warm floral Forever Moment scent (in the matte bottle).

LeSportSac 2013 Spring/Summer Mook

To commemorate its 25th anniversary in Japan, LeSportSac will release a 2013 Spring/Summer mook (1380yen) in three versions on 28 February. Each mook includes a bag measuring 25.5x16.10cm with nine pockets.

Paul & Joe Beauty Mook and Holiday Coffrets

To commemorate its 10th anniversary, Paul & Joe Beauté will release a mook on 19 September in Japan. If you are a fan, you will not want to miss this as it comes with a lovely vanity case and pouch in a floral print that has been featured in the brand's past fashion collection as well as in the new line-up of refillable lipstick cases. This will retail at 1470yen.

The new October issue of Baila comes with a Paul & Joe floral print tote bag. This is already available at Kinokuniya in Singapore. The print does not appeal to me though.

The Maquia editor tweeted the pics below of the holiday coffrets due for release on 1 December in Japan. The Makeup Collection 2012 comes in two variations, each containing a Face Powder in Kiss of Snow and a Creamy Cheek Powder in either Frozen Lilac (rose) or Sleigh Ride (peach), plus the unicorn print purse.

The Eye Color & Lip Balm Set will be released earlier on 1 November.
