Here are the official visuals for Suqqu's upcoming new base makeup collection launching on 1 September in Japan.
Frame Fix Moisturising Solid Foundation SPF25 PA++ (6500yen for 12g refill, 2000yen for case, 7 shades): Emulsion pact foundation that gives the look of dewy skin as though it has just been moistened with a steamed towel.
Lunasol is teaming up with the Tokyo-based shoe brand Tsuru by Mariko Oikawa for its upcoming limited edition Base Makeup Kit launching on 1 September in Japan. The kit includes deluxe sample sizes of their Glowing Day Cream, Foaming Cream Wash N, Watery Clear Oil Cleansing, and a choice of any full-size foundation and base.
Anna Sui will debut its new Powder Foundation M (3000yen for 9g refill, 1200yen for case) on 1 September in Japan. Available in only 4 shades, the foundation can be applied with the puffy side of the sponge for a silky finish or the flocked side for a softer, velvety finish. The foundation is formulated with a 'spring gel powder', rosehip oil, jojoba oil plus extracts of multiflora rose and chamomile to keep the skin hydrated.
Lancome will launch its third generation version of its popular Teint Miracle Liquid foundation SPF25 PA+++ (6000yen, 30ml, 7 shades) on 15 September in Japan. Boosted with moisture capture technology for improved hydration capability, it is formulated with an 'aura inside technology' with three types of pearl particles for creating a natural lustrous glow. The paraben-free and oil-free formula is also gentle on skin. This is the first time that I've seen a Lancome product being marketed as being paraben-free, although I could be wrong. Pic from Maquia.
Lancome is also teaming up with Olympia Le Tan for its Autumn '17 colour makeup collection launching on 18 August but it looks too kitschy and unappealing to me, especially the freaky lip-shaped lipsticks. You can see pics of it here. Pic below by At Cosme.
Paul & Joe will release its new Liquid Foundation (4500yen) and Pressed Face Powder (4000yen for refill, 1500yen for case) on 1 September in Japan. The bird print case is limited edition.
There will be a special Paul & Joe Circus pop-up store at Isetan Shinjuku in Tokyo from 26-31 July to mark the launch of its new lipstick line. Fans of their cat lipsticks will be pleased to know that these are finally part of the permanent line in the form of a shimmery pearlescent lipstick and a hydrating lip treatment.
There will be seven lipstick cases (1000yen each) exclusively available at this event, as well as a Lipstick Trio set (8500yen) that include a Lipstick Treatment and Lipstick N in the limited edition shades C01 and C02.

Coffret D'Or will launch its new Nudey Cover Moisture Liquid UV Foundation SPF26 PA++ (30ml, 7 shades, 3500yen) on 1 September in Japan. It is a more deeply hydrating version of the Nudey Cover Liquid UV SPF30 PA++ foundation launched in February 2017. The Nudey Cover Moisture bottle design is basically just an inverted version of the latter. It supposedly melds onto skin like nama chocolate (fresh cream chocolate) to help cover up dehydrated skin, pores and other imperfections.
RMK will launch its 3D Finish Nude base makeup line on 1 September in Japan. The 3D Finish Nude SPF20 PA++ compact (5500yen) holds a foundation color, a control color and a pearl color to help create a personalised refined look of fresh glowing skin. The pearl color comes in either silver or gold while the foundation color is available in RMK's usual 7 shades. The control color is a choice of either green or coral. Refills are offered for only the foundation shades.
The lineup includes:
1. 3D Finish Nude (5500yen)
2. Foundation Brush N: For use with liquid, cream or gel cream type foundations. Made with PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) bristles. (2800yen)
3. 3D Finish Nude Brush: Mix of goat hair and PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) bristles (2800yen)
6. Ingenious Eyeshadow Base N: Available in 2 shades, the peach shade helps concealing brown-toned skin discolourations and brightens while the pink shade conceals blue-toned skin discolourations and provides enhanced translucency. (2000yen)
Most brands usually launch one new foundation per season but Addiction is going for a big splash with its massive new base makeup lineup debuting on 8 September with comprehensive options for every possible need.
1. The Foundation SPF12 PA++ : This mimics the look of bare skin with a high level of translucency. (7 shades, 4000yen for 30ml)
2. The Glow Foundation SPF20 PA++: Refreshing texture with a dewy, glowy finish. (15 shades, 4500yen for 30ml)

Shu Uemura will debut its new The Lightbulb Essence essential-oil-in foundation SPF45 PA+++ (6000yen, 30ml) on 23 August in Japan. Available in 12 shades, the foundation is formulated with lavender and geranium oils for a natural, glowy finish. Pic by Voce.
Shiseido will launch its new Synchro Skin White Cushion Compact foundation on 1 June in Japan. Available in a paltry selection of just 4 shades (Ochre 10/20/30 and Pink Ochre 20), the refill will retail at 4300yen while the case is 1200yen. It has a semi-matte finish and is supposed to provide skin with a brighter, more translucent finish. Compared to last year's Synchro Skin Glow Cushion Compact which has only SPF23 PA++, Synchro Skin White has a higher sun protection rating of SPF40 PA+++ with ingredients such as 'brightening pigment R', pure white powder, 'time match powder' and oil-absorbing powder.

Burberry will launch its new Bright Glow Compact Foundation SPF25 PA+++ (8000yen; 5800yen for refill) on 29 March in Japan. Designed for Asian skintones, it will be available in four shades. Formulated with white peony and white water lily extracts as well as hyaluronic acid, it promises to brighten up the complexion while providing a longlasting smooth finish.
Guerlain will release this Japan-exclusive limited edition Parure Blanc Light Booster Compact The Flowers By Przemek Sobocki SPF20 PA++ (9000yen) on 25 March in Japan. Sobocki is a Tokyo-based Polish illustrator and art director. This will be available in only one shade, 01 which was supposedly developed specially to match any Asian skintone (a rather astounding claim). The foundation is the 2016 formula with 'weather fit technology' that allows the foundation to last well regardless of the temperature and humidity level. The matching pouch is a gift with purchase of 10,000yen and above.
Aside from the new Angelic Complexion Primers, Three will also be launching a new Angelic Symbiosis Foundation SPF11 PA+ (5400yen for 30g, 3 shades) and Radiant Wand Invisible concealer (3800yen, 3 shades) on 3 May in Japan. The foundation is a smoothing powder-infused oil-gel formula that does not need to be finished with loose powder. It also contains sea buckthorn oil which has high in antioxidant properties and Vitamin C. The soft mousse texture helps to provide a cool matte finish while concealing skin unevenness. What's odd is that it will be available only in three shades, given that earlier Three foundations are available in 7 to 10 shades.
Maquillage shakes up its staid image with this upcoming Sailor Moon collaboration launching on 21 April in Japan. There will be a Dramatic Powder UV & Collaboration Compact Case S Set (3500yen, 2 variations) and a Dramatic Skin Sensor Base UV Collaboration S Set (2600yen, 25ml, 2 variations) that also includes a sample of the powder foundation. This rainbow-hued case must be the prettiest case ever released by Maquillage!
Esprique will release its new base makeup range on 16 February in Japan. It includes:
1. Pure Skin Pact UV SPF26 PA++ (7 shades, 2900yen for 9.3g refill, 1000yen for case)
2. CC Base Natural SPF50+ PA++++: Lasts up to 13 hours with moisturising ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, collagen, squalene, trehalose and Vitamin C derivative. (30g, 2800yen)
3. CC Base Cover SPF50+ PA++++: Lasts up to 13 hours with moisturising ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, collagen, squalene and trehalose. (30g, 2800yen)
