Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Cushion

Guerlain is the next to hop on the cushion foundation bandwagon with its Lingerie de Peau Cushion (4 shades, 6300yen) launching on 1 September in Japan. It provides a satin matte finish. Guerlain will also debut its new Lingerie de Peau Aqua Nude Water-infused Protecting Fluid foundation SPF20 PA++ (6 shades, 6300yen, 30ml) and Blurring Active Base (5600yen) on the same date. Aqua Nude is the first foundation by Guerlain to be housed in a plastic bottle for convenience and portability, with the pricing reflecting that. (In comparison, Lingerie de Peau liquid foundation retails at 7000yen). The six shades comprise one cool, one warm and four neutral tones.

Guerlain Japan-exclusive Parure Blanc Foundation Compact

Guerlain will release this Japan-exclusive limited edition Parure Blanc Light Booster Compact The Flowers By Przemek Sobocki SPF20 PA++ (9000yen) on 25 March in Japan. Sobocki is a Tokyo-based Polish illustrator and art director. This will be available in only one shade, 01 which was supposedly developed specially to match any Asian skintone (a rather astounding claim). The foundation is the 2016 formula with 'weather fit technology' that allows the foundation to last well regardless of the temperature and humidity level. The matching pouch is a gift with purchase of 10,000yen and above.

Guerlain Summer 2017 Bring Out The Light

Guerlain is releasing a limited edition Meteorites Birthday Candle Perles (7100yen) on 1 May in Japan to commemorate the 30th anniversary of this iconic product. It contains gold, pink, white and champagne pearls to give skin a lit-from-within candlight glow. There will also be a new Meteorites Baby Glow Touch (5100yen) stick highlighter and two limited edition KissKiss lipsticks (4300yen) #567 Pink Sunrise and #542 Orange Pep.

Guerlain Spring 2017

The Guerlain Happy Rosy Glow Collection for Spring 2017 has just started to arrive online. It is available now on Nordstrom.

The star product is naturally the Meteorites Happy Glow Pearls, described as "shimmering pink with multicolored reflection for the ultimate glow, soft mauve to catch light and matte pink to revive the complexion. Combined with mini champagne pearls, they create a universal harmony that enlighten the complexion with radiance and a perfecting halo." It sure is pretty but do be aware that Guerlain has hiked up the price significantly for this Meteorites. The Meteorites from the permanent line-up retail at US$62 for 0.88oz/25g while the recent LE Météorites Perles de Légende from the Holiday 2016 collection was US$65 for 25g. In contrast, the Meteorites Happy Glow Pearls are a whopping US$74 for 1 oz (vs 9400yen in Japan). That's almost a 20% increase in price compared to the regular Meteorites, albeit for a tad more product. My Meteorites collection is vast enough that I think I can safely pass on this (unless a nice discount pops along) without regret.


Also part of the collection is the Meteorites Blush Happy Glow (6800yen), Meteorites Brush (5200yen) and KissKiss lipsticks #564 and #565 (4400yen). All items are limited edition.

Guerlain Fall 2016

Guerlain is introducing a new line of eyeshadow palettes as part of its French Lady collection for Fall 2016. Available in six variations, each contains five shades and will retail at 8500yen. Pic below by WWD Japan.

Guerlain Parure Blanc Light Booster Compact Foundation

Guerlain will debut this Parure Blanc Light Booster Compact Foundation SPF20 PA++ (8700yen; refills at 6500yen) on 19 February in Japan. Available in 01 Pearl Beige, 02 Light Beige and 32 Light Amber, it is described as a brightening foundation with soft focus pigments coupled with a pearly highlighter.

Guerlain Meteorites Rainbow Pearls

Guerlain will release this limited edition Meteorites Rainbow Pearls (7700yen, 25g) on 1 May in Japan as part of the summer 2015 collection. See real life pics on Specktra and here. The press visual is annoyingly misleading as the pearl balls actually fill up barely one-third of the pot. As much as I have loved collecting these pots, I think this will be a pass for me.

Here are the official visuals of Guerlain's upcoming Blanc de Perle skincare and makeup collection, set for release on 20 February in Japan. The new products include a White Pearl Essence in Lotion, White Pearl Drop Whitening Essence, Whitening Night Cream, White Pearl UV Shield, UV Base, CC Cream, Blanc de Perle Essence Infused Brightening Foundation SPF25 PA+++ (30ml, 7400yen, 4 shades) and Poudre de Soie (illuminating powder).
