Melissa x Liberty

Being a major fan of Melissa shoes, I was delighted to discover their pop-up store on South Molton Street in London, just off Oxford Street.

The store was offering 20% off all regular-priced styles until Christmas Eve.

These super-bling J Maskrey Ultragirl with Swarovski crystals are a whoppping £250 each.

The Jason Wu collection.

Love the mesh design of the Campana line but unfortunately it does not flatter my feet.

I came home with the new Liberty Ultragirl flats. These are selling on ASOS.com for £65 each, so I was happy to score them at a discount.

The blue version features the Emma and Georgina prints while the pink version features the Margaret Annie print. All are Liberty heritage prints from the 19th century. It's truly rare for Melissa shoes to feature floral prints and these couldn't be more perfect for spring/summer.

The store had free copies of their seasonal magazine, Plastic Dreams. The Summer 2012 and Summer 2013 editions feature Lily Cole and Alek Wek respectively.

Vans x Hello Kitty

Yet another Hello Kitty collaboration, this time with Vans at Tangs Orchard. I don't know the prices of these.

New Shoes from Pedder Red, Melissa and Nike x Liberty

Thanks to Mag for introducing me to Melissa, a Brazilian brand of jelly shoes, I recently picked up this pair of Bambi flats from the Pedder Red in Ngee Ann City.

This is also available in black and orange. I came across it earlier at Tangs Orchard but it was already mostly sold out except for the largest size 9 so I was delighted to discover it at Pedder Red as well.

The flats are very comfortable, except for some snugness around the toes but the Pedder Red staff said that the shoes will expand slightly with wear. I also like that the sole has some thickness to it, unlike many other flats that offer zero cushioning for the feet.

This pair of Pedder Red sandals also caught my eye with its soft straps, gold buckle detail and wood pattern on the heels.

I also picked up a second pair of the Liberty shoes at the Nike store in Wisma Atria. Inspired by an illustration by Quentin Blake, the "Kara's Tree" print features an impressionist style landscape of pointillist leaves, a story book fence and pebbles in the background.

Tokidoki Cardigans and Nike x Liberty

Did a bit of shopping this long Easter weekend!

Tangs Orchard now stocks a small range of Tokidoki T-shirts and cardigans on the third floor. I fell instantly in love with this loose-fitting Cops & Robbers sweatshirt.

The grey and pink cardigan is a tad louder than what I would usually wear but I liked the mix of characters like the pegasus, swallows and lipstick buddies.

After reading this HerWorld.com article on the new Nike collaboration with Liberty of London, I made a beeline for the Nike store at Wisma Atria this morning. The store only had the Air Feather in the Tatum print. The Tatum print was also used for the tote bag in one of the Liberty 2011 Spring & Summer mooks but in a different colour scheme.

It's been a very long time since I wore such high cut sneakers but I can imagine these keeping my feet snug and warm in temperate climates. If you are a Liberty aficionado, do also check out this excellent post by Style Bubble on her visit to the Liberty office.

Finally, at Accessorize, I picked up a pair of laces for just S$7.90. Not sure what I'll use them with yet though!

Yesterday, Mag, Kas and I also went to check out the Sanrio Dr Martens (at the new store in Wheelock Place) which features Hello Kitty, My Melody, Little Twin Stars, Keroppi and Chococat. Attesting to the popularity of Hello Kitty, there was a queue even before the store opened yesterday and most of the popular sizes sold out in a flash.

New Look Heels

My shoe closet is already bursting at the seams so I've been refraining from buying any more shoes for several months. These days, I am in my Geox ballet flats 95% of the time anyway. Still, I couldn't resist this pair of cutout ribbon heels that I chanced across at New Look in 313@ Somerset over the weekend.

Available in dusky pink and grey, this was quite affordable at just S$49.90, plus there was a 10% discount for Citibank cardholders. (It costs £22.99 on Newlook.com.)

Love the contrasting mix of textures.

Fancy some praise from your shoes before you step out the door?
