Shiseido will revamp its bestselling Tsubaki haircare line in mid-March in Japan. The line has racked up sales of 270 million units since its launch in March 2006. Aside from Tsubaki's signature ingredient of camellia oil, the new line is designed to help restore the natural lustre of Japanese hair, which is naturally rich in melanin but often loses its glossiness due to damage leading to "melanin holes". There will continue to be three ranges: Shining, Damage Care and Head Spa. The new packaging is composed of 43% sugarcane-derived polyethylene, which is more environmentally friendly.
