Dior Addict Ultra Gloss #732 Orange Boléro was an impulse purchase that I made a few months ago but only started wearing regularly this week. Like a magpie, I was dazzled by the brilliant coral orange shade which flashes gold and rosy pink, depending on the angle.
Based on the description on Sephora.com, the Ultra Gloss range has a featherweight formula with a flash-plumping, dazzling "spotlight shine" effect thanks to the use of mirror-like micro pearls to reflect light in all directions while hyaluronic spheres keep lips smooth and moisturized.
So shiny!
The sleek clear Lucite tube is well-designed and contains a generous amount of product (6.3ml/0.21 fl oz). The bristles are slightly short compared to other brands, but they never splay when I pull the applicator out of the tube. They do a good job of applying the lipgloss evenly.
On my lips, Orange Boléro adds a semi-translucent glossy coral wash with a heavy dose of pink shimmer particles, which can be quite obvious so it's a shade that is better reserved for the weekend, nights or parties. The lipgloss wears comfortably on the lips without any stickiness.
It lasts about 2 to 3 hours on me, with touch ups required after a meal or drinking. After the gloss has worn off, the micro pink shimmer particles tend to remain on the lips, and they take a bit of rubbing with tissue to remove completely. That's the primary drawback of this formula and the reason why I would not purchase this lipgloss again, although I will continue using it as I like the shade.
Here are a couple of quick pics that I snapped in the afternoon, so please excuse the messier-than-usual hair and eye bags (due to getting an average of 5 hours of sleep each night for the past month).
Hope you have a good weekend!

I love you in Orange!! I'm getting ready to head off in about an hour to Selfridges - just planning to get the creamy foundation.
Hey Iris...you look very pretty in glasses!
Thanks, sesame! I'm so used to wearing glasses that I feel naked without them. I used to wear contact lenses occasionally but gave them up after even the daily disposable ones left my eyes with severe dryness.
hi Jamilla,
Thanks! Looking forward to your post :-)
