Lunasol Spring Event & Tangs Sale

The Lunasol SA at the Takashimaya Kanebo counter told me yesterday that the spring collection will arrive on 20 February (Friday) and there will be a 3 day event with a makeup artist from Japan. All you have to do is make a purchase of any one item (on that day) to enjoy the makeover. I've already made my appointment for 21 Feb :-) The SA also said there is no increase in the prices, despite the high yen, which is great news! At the current rate, a Lunasol palette costs the equivalent of S$88 in Japan, compared to the current retail price of $77 in Singapore.

According to the SA, the Coffret D'Or spring collection will arrive only in March. She knew that it had already been launched in Hong Kong and Taiwan but for some reason, Southeast Asia would get the collection only in March, 4 months after the launch in Japan.

I was browsing through the local edition of L'Officiel magazine and it featured the RMK Cheeks & Eyes Palette for S$49. That's a lot cheaper than the Japan retail price of 5250yen! Not sure when that will be launched though.

Tangs department store will be offering 12% rebate cardmembers on 4-5 Feb! Cardmembers also get additional 10% off sale itesm at Tang + Co. The mailer also featured a bunch of Lancome GWPs and promotional bundles. For purchase of $160, you can get an 8-piece GWP; with $230, you get a matching bag and $10 Lancome voucher; with $320, you get a Blanc Expert Nx3 Emulsion 75ml worth $115 and a $20 Lancome voucher. Cardmembers also get an additional Blanc Expert skincare item.

Thanks for the information Haru! I asked the SA of Coffret D'or and she told me approx Feb.. So I thought Lunasol will launch after Coffret D'or. But it sucks pretty much that the good stuffs reach us so late :(

Hi Haru!

I marked down my calendar after reading your post on the Lunasol Spring Event, and I'm glad I skipped dinner for it! I was the first to roll my fingers over the eyeshadow testers (cheap thrill), and I must say the Spring collection is divine. I bought the eyeshadow in #02 White Gradation. It is a pale yellow/green combination, it reminds me of the flower fields in Florence. Makes me happy just looking at it. There is a mauve shade in #04 which looks just like the one in the Xmas LE Coffret set.

There are 3 promotions at Takashimaya currently.

Spend $150 and get a 2 piece set of Blanchir travel size product and a bag. Spend $200 and get a 3 piece travel size Impress product. Be the first 50 customer to spend $150 and get a free 600ml Sala Body Shower Cream. I spent $200 and didn't want the Impress set so the SA gave me a retail (small) Blanchir Whitening Conclusion (serum). The Lunasol Massage Cream is going for $43 (UP $54).

Takashimaya also just received a whole bunch of new samples, so be sure to ask for them. The SA felt generous and gave a ton of samples from the Impress and Blanchir line.

I felt so happy after dropping by Kanebo today. I feel like twirling around. :D

Hi Laura,

Thanks for your comment! Glad to hear that you had a great time at the Lunasol event today. I booked a slot for 21 Feb but I didn't receive a call from Lunasol yesterday to confirm the appointment :-( But in any case, I have to skip it as I stupidly scheduled a driving lesson at the same time. But I'll definitely swing by the Lunasol counter today to check it out.

I'm also not a fan of the Impress/Blanchir skincare range. I wonder why Lunasol doesn't give out Lunasol GWPs like they regularly do in Japan, stuff like mirrors, makeup pouches, brushes etc.

I think you have the Lunasol mirror too if I recall correctly? I received the Lunsasol mirror from Takashimaya previously. The SA gave it away when I bought the Lunasol Emulsion. The clasp was quite tight and difficult to open. For the fear that I may accidently lose grip and hit someone's face with the mirror, I eventually stopped using it. I had a feeling the SA gave it to me so readily (I only bought the Emulsion) because the mirror wasn't that good anyway. I prefer to receive skincare samples so that I can understand how the skincare line performs before I purchase the items I deem necessary.
